Newest patch broke some stuff, people lost a fair bit of equipment, and it was just not good vibes all around.

All i know from scrolling this section on the discord was it was an update that broke the game causing many players to lose everything.

including Thor.

So what happened for the first crash, he was collecting spice and doing scans in the deep desert. He got the max amount of spice he could carry like 3600 or there about. He then decided to go deposit it at the base but when he hit the section transition the thopter disappeared from the screen and the game crashed. When he logged back in he was in a sandstorm on top of a sinking sand area his thopter nowhere in sight. He died and at the insistence of chat he respawned where his vehicle was supposed to be which was back in the sinking sand, vehicle no where in sight. When he tried to get out of the sand he had rubber banding issues and so decided to let the sand eat him and respawn in the hagga basin. Where he spawned in his undies. He was pretty mad at this point and got a bit more mad when he learned that the respawn with no gear was an intended mechanic for either the sinking sand or the deep desert or both. At some point after the second respawn he also messaged Khronos to tell him about the bug

Then I started talking with the guys in game dev general and stopped watching the stream so no clue what happens after that

Also I'm just going to leave this here but contacting Khronos to relay the bug to him should be considered as work and so he should give another day off

and frankly imo Thor should also take a day off all that 20+ hours of streaming can't be good for him

Also with the context that some people provided that the thopter was a gift from Khronos and the others. I kinda see why he want so mad

But then again they are on a private server so maybe they can do some magic and roll back just his stuff, technically still would suck because he would have lost that specific instance of the thopter in an unsatisfying way

There also might be the community aspect as others have mentioned. Because Thor does seem to care about his community and their experience with stuff he plays and promotes

And a lot of other people that got the same bug might not get their stuff back

I'm playing devil's advocate here, but it's all statements from both sides who believes that they are right. I saw what thor saw, but the POV of the attackers is missing, so I can't for myself see if I can find reasons to make them claimed that they are not stream sniping.
It's a massive problem for valorant streamers in particular for this exact same reason, right now you can't replay a match and determine if the player that you think is cheating/streamsniping make decisions that only make sense if they know more than what the game gives them

• LLMs don't have training on patient data. It's why psychologists in uni do free trial clinics.

So I went and tried having a, like, "session" with GPT's 4o. I told it to larp as a psychologist student doing a free clinic who has access to all the literature

I think another good argument is that Therapists don't so sessions over just text for good reason, there's too much lost in just text compared picking up on a voice/face language

Four interesting things I noticed though:

• Someone who has a condition that makes them not express themselves truthfully (narcicism for instance) would likely not get enough use out of it. I think for MDD it's more useful.
• There's no need to break the ice over several sessions. The lack of a human element means I didn't feel embarassed to share what I thought exactly.
• You need to anonimize the shit out of what you're saying if you don't blindly trust OpenAI to have a data leak with your info. Never overshare, change your age to another in the same age group, fake your job, etc. Tick the thing that flags your chats to not be used as training data. Don't use your name, etc.
• You need to be very descriptive 'cos the AI isn't there to see you shaking your legs or looking sideways and infer you're lying.

Whereas a good therapist will actually know how to say things to challenge you, not only because of their own knowledge, but also through them getting to know you on a personal level

Oh yeah, and it costs 20 dollars a month instead of the usual session a therapist would charge you

I think as the Dutch definition of a counsellor (someone who is not a licensed therapist but can try to dissect your toxic patterns) rather than a psychologist it can work to help people.

The company who owns it will just get a slap on the wrist or a fine and carry on being up

Emotion is an inferred mechanical response. A therapist isn't a better therapist cos they get sad together with you. They're a better therapist because they can figure out why something makes you sad
