my only problem was i couldnt tell my clones to use their abilities even though they are exact copies of me

like realistically i should be able to do that, but also that is very OP, but also let me have fun

they could totally make a mechanic out of it too, since your mental power is directly tied to your ego level, so maybe your clones have a chance to ignore you because of their ego.
There's ways to balance it for sure without compromising on 'realism'
