with bone shield I have 108% total "increased chance to find magical items" as it adds 25%. it also does 25% cast speed which is less relevant for my sword heavy build, plus its defense is 36 with a 35% defense bonus which yields me 5 more than the other shields 75 base defense, but the other shield adds 12 points to strength (+5min +10max dmg) and 10 points to sword skill which is 10 dmg and 10 atk. Im really leaning on the magical items build but +15-20 dmg is so good.

the luck stats are 28% from gloves 30% from belt 25% from chest and 25% from bone shield

cant wait to use the avaricious pearl I fished up that adds +40% luck and +20% gold dropped, I think maybe I should wait until I find a socket for that then switch shields, but by then I could have a better shield... soooo do I sell the other shield for +254k gold? They broke it with the sub anniversaries. Mine was cancelled at 12am Pacific on the day of my sub anniversary, I didnt know and I had already planned on resubbing on that day so I happened to hit the resub button less than an hour after it was cancelled. The error somehow made it so that the resub didnt go through until the end of my existing billing cycle when the old sub expired essentially forcing a streak deletion. (They said they would be renewing those but I will be writing an email to be certain)

I believe Thor carries himself with confidence especially when it comes to game knowledge while being an "outsider" to Soda's clique. That rubbed them the wrong way.

I also believe that in the incident, Thor didn't give the hyenas the content that they wanted which was to die "hilariously" and create a fail clip. This rubbed them the wrong way thinking Thor wouldn't play by their content and give them the material they were expecting and so they lashed out at him.

As an example. If I'm the most skilled player in Street Fighter 6 and I play Zangief, and I go against someone who is the 2nd most skilled player and he plays Dhalsim. In SF6 Dhalsim has a massive advantage against Zangief.

Does this mean the game is bullshit? I am more skilled than him, but am I really? We are both highly skilled in our respective areas, because general "skill" is a vague meaningless concept that you can't truly quantify

And you know the funny thing? Despite my experience with this game, I wouldn't consider myself among the best, I'm about one and a half steps below that.

My fundamental problem is being prone to certain strategies or playstyles.

If they know my Achilles heel, I just have to pray my team can cover it because I certainly am not good at having a solid counterplay against it.

Also yeah, it depends largely on the balancing and how the game flows.

There are games where the amount of control is variable

A more dynamic game will offer more potential outcomes and generally more room for strategies.

The metagame boils from there.

A rigid and algorithmic one is more akin to a race or an endurance test.

Chess is the simplest and most well-known example of that.

You constantly are looking for clearly defined strategies to be able to overpower your opponent slowly, or catch them out of depth by taking steps that have not been fully explored yet.

Basically, games that get competive cut down margin for error. Games that employ factors out of your control force players of two main strategies: unreliable threatening plays with safety nets in mind, or constant risk minimization.

Some games can get really intense and honestly a skillsteel standstill.

Being mocked doesn't allow for a lawsuit. If it's a lie they are knowingly telling with intent to harm reputation, then yeah that's defamation. But mockery/criticism is protected (to a degree).

Parody and critique is allowed as long as it's transformative or that all the content in it is fair use/copyright free. Using someone's voice without their permissions isn't that. But if that guy just made his game and voice acted the lines himself like he said he would do now, there would've been no issues.

You can't punish someone for parody, but you can for using copyrighted content

I'm sorry, I respect Thor, but it sounds to me that he literally gave the guy what he wanted: attention. I'm not sure if legally he had to file the DMCA regardless like other peeps here implied, but if he didn't then he just walked into a trap.

Again, that gets into fair use, though. There's legal precedent that clips of audio can absolutely be used under fair use without grounds for a DMCA.

I'm not a lawyer, but my layman's reading of Lenz v. UMC lays out that copyright holders are required to consider in good faith whether something is protected fair use before filing a DMCA takedown.

Idk how long the voice clip was in total, but that's probably a factor.

More of a factor is that it wasn't actually in the game that got DMCA'd. That's kinda problematic
