I posted earlier but got lost in the sea. I admire Thor (and team) so this is aimed to be civil. (Sorry for the longer msg, but wanted to jot down thoughts..)

Just watched numerous vids on this situation. I used to play mage and yeah, he definitely could of helped, most likely saved those deaths. Many, if not all of those adds were CCable.

The demeanor showed him kinda just being over it all as well as the group. Sounds like it was a few failed attempts and he looked drained. Might have added to the spiraling situation

Here's the thing, I am a big believer in falling on your sword when you make a mistake. It sucks and it's not fun, but you earn respect and admiration and some time later, you are always grateful you took the high road. I do hope he gets to add a few entries to his lesson learned folder from this situation. Personally don't feel it was the best look for him. Hopefully down the line he'll realize it and make high road decisions then.

All this to say i absolutely don't believe he deserves hate raids or the egregious aftermath of attacks though. End of the day he's playing a game he loves with friends, and he's streaming it for the world to see. I know for a fact I've had cough questionable moments in gaming that I'm thankful the world doesn't know about lol 😆 & I'm sure many people on here would say the same

I can actually agree with your take on needing to heed new orders from a shot caller, particularly the continued use of abilities while moving away. For example, in XIV, if someone says to run in a raid due to a misplaced TB, you run. Those with support abilities will continue to use them until the option is no longer possible (due to a death or lack of resources)

I do think more could have potentially been done by Thor and I do agree with some of the people who have exclaimed civil disagreement with how he reacted in the moment.

However, my ultimate stance is that people ought to(and this isn't directed specifically to you) drop this all. It should have been resolved maturely between the involved parties.
