Hi, it depends on the type of healthcare insurance you have, if you have dual coverage, etc...

But in short, most plans have what's called a deductible - between 1000-2000 ttpically for single people, more for family.

Until you've reached that deductible - your insurance (outside of preventative care per AHA) will not pay their portion.

Once you hit deductible is when your benefits kick in, where it's closer to the advertised split of say - 80% of bill paid for
