Hubert Lore summary attempt. I might be missing stuff. Spoiler tagged for those who might be concerned about it. This will be a couple posts due to character limits.

||Early in the adventures of Hubert, he encountered Princess Orc (Played by Roxmiral - he/him, character is she/her). A ‘northern orc’ who is often a bit baffled by her southern cousins. Hubert, finding her a bit unprepared for life in this region, started protecting her (mostly from herself) and soon found himself deputized as her protector or bodyguard. As such, when he is not called on to tank in various dungeons, they’re often found as an adventuring duo working on quests.||

||Hubert eventually encountered Pirate who gifted him his first taste of Arcane Intellect for a dungeon. Hubert feels considerably less Zug when he is smarter, and is more prone to thoughtful careful pulling with the buff.||

||After their successful dungeon experience, Pirate engaged Hubert in an experiment, asking him to release his int buff. This resulted in Hubert yelling as he ran off into the sunset to zug. Hubert usually refers to Pirate as ‘Mister Pirate.’||

||Hubert has become a willing and even eager test subject for ‘Mr. Pirate’. Improved int buffs and even int enchanted gear are having slightly diminishing returns. The baseline int his gear gives, now still results in the urge to Zug and be a bit reckless. He dreams of one day having a permanent brain upgrade or transplant from Pirate.||

||Hubert has become throughly addicted to Int buffs and wants to spread it to his fellow orcs, so they too can experience the freedom from Zug and joys of logical thought. He intentionally seeks out int buffs from anyone who can give them, though he prefers to seek out troll mages first. He has a strong preference for Pirate given Arcane Int above all other sources. When he can’t get them, he supplements himself with bottled int buff potions and int scrolls whenever possible.||

||While initially frustrated with his obsession, Princess has taken to making int potions for him, if only to stop him zug running to town every hour to seek another int buff. Hubert enjoys the crunch of the bottles and sometimes consumes excess potions just for the enjoyment of them without letting the buff run out.||

||When Hubert is in Zug mode, he pulls a bit recklessly, not paying much attention to his companions’s statuses. If he has a fairly strong relationship with someone they can call him back from zug charging. Prior to his death, Guzug was particularly skilled at directing a zugging Hubert. Princess is not good at directing a zugging Hubert, and often resorts to pulling out potions to get his attention.||

||Hubert befriended fellow Smorc Guzug (Guzu’s shaman) and there was an epic Rp of Guzug consulting the spirits for Hubert, who wanted to know “If she loves me.” The answer was that Hubert’s loved ones do indeed care for him. We don’t know who the ‘she’ Hubert asked about was/is. ||

||More recently, there was a ‘mysterious’ rash of Arcane Int that affected the orcs at last week’s big meeting, causing a surprising amount of order. Hubert was delighted by this. A few of the other orcs also seemed to enjoy becoming smorcs. Pirate was suspected as having some involvement. The orcs are, at last check, unaware of Hubert having been his accomplice for the Smorcening.||

||Princess is now working on increasing her supply of int potions with intent to distribute them to other Smorcs. She wants to get them as hooked as Hubert is so she can build a Smorcish following. Her job is easier because of events at the meeting. Hubert wants Smorc friends and more recruits for Pirate’s experiments.||

||Because of his Smorc status, Hubert is now an advisor to the Orc warchief, who Princess gifts int potions to during their consultations so that the Warchief can better understand Hubert’s logic.||

Little side stories: ||Hubert is trying to learn to write stories, unfortunately most of the inspiration books he finds to read are a bit naughty and involve scandalous things like handholding. Hubert is a bit prude and potentially ace.||

||Princess wants Hubert to hook up with someone so she can have a gay best friend. Hubert doesn’t know if he likes anyone in that way at this point. They bicker about this periodically.||

||Hubert hears voices in his head and occasionally he will consult them for information if he isn’t certain about something. The voices in Hubert’s head are his chat. Sometimes Hubert gets visions of a strange world with unusual technology, these visions often involve intrusive thoughts that Hubert doesn’t trust.||

||Even when Hubert is in full Zug, his inner voice (often shown with an echo filter) remains refined when consulting Chat. This inner voice sometimes leaks out when his Int score is partially high or a new higher level buff is encountered. There are certain thresholds that result in him having intellectual leaps and new behaviours.||

||There are rumors that certain cultural flavored items might unlock new aspects of Hubert. There are also some planned things for certain Int buff thresholds. In particular, Kris challenged Goblins to find a way to get Thor to have Pirate gift Hubert something hispanic coded. We have yet to succeed, challenge was presented after one of their early encounters.||

||If Hubert ever encounters a monocle item, he will roll Need even if it is not a warrior item because he enjoys wearing them.||

from what i could find, the game is supposed to delete the shadercache file upon game close but this was not happening, so when the error occurred the game was trying to create a new shadercache file and conflicting with the old file causing a loop of crashes.
