This may improve reducing bandwidth usage on their end, but as written above it does not look like any improvement on the viewing end. Generally speaking the vod will lag about 5-10 minutes behind the actual live stuff so you can't use this to rewind to a moment you just missed or something (at least not without waiting).

And always remember these points are the maximum. You more likely get less, because twitch and common bugs. Most of the time you don't get all active watching rewards. Sometimes i get 4 per hour, sometimes only 1 or 2, even if i put the stream on my tablet and it should be active all time.
As an average viewer you get about 3,8k per Stream as a follower and about 4-4,1k as T1 sub.

YouTube's "11 hours 55 minutes" issue is probably their library not handling a 32 bit overflow on the timestamp well (RTMP uses a 32 bit timestamp, measured in milliseconds)
11 hours 55 minutes = 42900 seconds
When streaming at 60fps, each frame has a timestamp that increments by 16.66ms each time
So, you can't store the timestamps as integer milliseconds, or you'll lose those fractions - you use some multiple of microseconds (the "period")
If we measure the timestamps with a 10 microsecond resolution ("period"), 16.66ms would become a timestamp of 1666, so we keep 2 decimal places \o/
42900 (seconds) would become 4290000000 periods (with 10000 "periods" per second)

                                 2^32 = 4294967296
( (11 * 3600) + ( 55 * 60) ) * 100000 = 4290000000

Keep streaming past that and your timestamps overflow back to zero, which should be handled gracefully (even the RTMP spec published in 2012 defines the handling of timestamp rollover, on page 5)

the 11hr55m limitation can be circumvent if thor decided to not stream to youtube using the ultra low latency option, in which case HLS is available for ingestion protocol option on OBS
but that also means higher latency for those who watch on youtube so its basically a choose your poision kind of deal

in practice, one way to deal with this 11hr55m limit that I've seen youtube streamers use is to split the stream into parts. An example is jimmy broadbent's 24hr of le mans streams (the whole event got split into 4 streams event on his stream tab)

I think you can? I can think of one possible way since OBS does allow you to run multiple OBS instances, which means you can run 1 instance to twitch and another instance to youtube separetely if your encoder can handle double the workload.

If anyone has similar issues with youtube it may be their "restricted mode". A few months ago not even all of their support people knew about that feature. It'll hide videos from the platform entirely for you. It's an account-by-account setting. When someone goes to your channel these videos won't show up in the list. If you've a direct link it'll 404. It's in the dropdown menu when you click on your account icon in the top left.

Just putting this here as it seems pertinent. This is that Meet Your Maker visual glitch that our main man was experiencing on stream. I was able to snag an image when I was editing my dungeon. I've only ever seen it while editing my dungeons though.

If you upload a video, the timestamps wouldn't go through the RTMP protocol, so wouldn't get limited like that (the MP4 container supports 64-bit timestamps)

Worst case scenario is to put a quick firewall rule on the target (Youtube RTMP server) IP address so the connection "fails" and OBS attempts a reconnect (if that's a thing)
