So I noticed curiosity and confusion about my TTS around endometriosis and figured I'd explain a little for my specific case. Keep in mind that endometriosis is an extremely varied disease and can effect 2 different women in 2 very different ways.

I am currently 30 years old and I have a 10 year old son. I have been complaining about issues around my period since I started getting them 19 years ago. They'd come for long periods and then be gone for long periods, sometimes they'd be very heavy and sometimes very painful. All of these things only got worse as the years went on and I saw MANY different doctors about it. Only 2 in 19 years even thought to look and one of those tried to withhold pain medication until I could see a private gynaecologist that I couldn't afford. The second doctor is my current gynaecologist who I was able to see as a public patient and who is an absolute godsend of a human. My endometriosis is one of few cases where I could be diagnosed without surgery and via ultrasound because my ovary had adhered (been stuck to with endometrial tissue) to my uterine wall which causes extreme pain and would interfere with my plans to have another baby. So, that's where I'm at, I have to get surgery in 2 weeks to clear out as much endometrial tissue that they can find which is definitely on my uterus and ovaries, but also very likely on my bowel, bladder and possibly my lungs too.

Now some notes about the disease in general to answer some further questions:

• No, children, a hysterectomy and birth control do not 'cure' the disease, it has no known cure
• While studies have suggested a bacterial cause, it has not been confirmed to the standards of modern science and further research is needed. As of right now, there is no confirmed known reason that satisfies modern science standards
• There IS a confirmed hereditary link for endometriosis and I now have to contact female relatives to request that they also get seen to as they may have it
• The gold standard for diagnosis is an exploratory laparoscopy, my case is not standard and I still have to undergo the surgery anyway
• Endometriosis is not just around the pelvic area, it has been found (rarely) in the brain, eyes and even in the arms
• The average timeframe for diagnosis is 8 years in first world countries, longer for areas of poverty and lack of access to medicine, if they get diagnosed at all

On VR Motion Sickness:
Fans help. No need to MacGyver anything even, just get a simple box fan.

I don't get motion sick on games where I don't move via control stick. Beat Saber, Super Hot, and (my personal favorite) Mothership Gunforge. I haven't played it, but I've heard good things about I expect you to die, I don't think you move around much in that, and it'd be right up Thor's alley. Escape-room-like from what I see.

I don't get motion sick on games where I move via teleport/dash and turn in real life (wireless on Quest 2). Until You Fall is kinda like that. There is a dash with a low cool down in combat/no-cool down outside of combat. Slow stick move during combat. You can turn with stick, but I just turn around IRL.

I get super motion sick (it gradually builds up, and then continues long after I stop playing) on games with stick turn/stick move. UNLESS it has a strong 'Silhouette' (blinders) effect. On PC vr https://store.steampowered.com/app/1393780/OVR_Locomotion_Effect__AntiVR_Sickness/ can be used to add the effect to games which don't have it built in.

My recommendation on the motion sickness thing is a game called "Epic Roller Coasters"

Gradually going through it genuinely helps reduce VR motion sickness

The roller coasters are of varying intensities, with the lowest ones being pretty chill, and has all of the usual anti-MS features for anyone who needs them, and lets you gradually dial them back.

It's what I use to regain my VR legs whenever I'm away from VR for long enough that my own motion sickness starts to come back when I return
