I have no prior knowledge of programming, and jumping into godot aint intuitive. even less so trying to make sense of documentation. What the hell is a bool? float? string???? it helps a ton if one has even beginner knowledge in programming, but without any, it's so hard to just jump in an do something.

I've also been trying to get my head around godot, and I get the feeling there's like a step missing in the teaching process oftentimes. https://gdquest.github.io/learn-gdscript/ This app, if you haven't tried it, actually takes time to explain a lot of the basic things, and has example tasks for you to do.
But yeah, I fully fully agree. Everytime I see someone say "Learn X programming without prior knowledge!" I hesitate now, because I've very rarely found that the things being taught are teachable in such a vacuum of expertise as I have.

Yeah that makes sense, when you go to the docs and it just looks like arcane runes and madness. A tutorial can help you crack an issue, and not all tutorials are made equal. I think the trap is being satisified that the crack worked and moving on instead of scrutinizing the solution to understand the fix.

As I understand it, it's got to do with how the fibers react to the heat. You don't want them to tighten too much because that makes the meat tough. Also helps cook it through more consistently, not having to start from a lower temperature.
You also rest the meat after cooking it so it is tender when you eat it.
That's my amateur understanding.

Oh yes definitely resting the steaks. From my experience, I think you're right about the cook evenly when warmed. When I did it straight from the fridge it was tougher even rested. Always a rib eye is what I cooked to try and keep variables minimal

oh! and I noticed recently the juices are more cooked when warmed versus straight from the fridge which totally helps the flavor

I'd scale either "base dmg" and "base damage" depending on mob type and difficulty or for easier balance scale just the result of a standard monster.

Stats at level N = T * (X * A^(N-1))
N is the player's current level (1 to 100, doesnt have to be max100)
A is the exponential growth factor (a > 1)
X is the base stats at level 1
T is the type of mob (minion = 0.75, normal=1, elite=1.5, boss=3)
For example, if x = 100 and a = 1.05 and t=1 (normal mob) the stats would increase as:
Level 1: 100
Level 10: 100 * 1.05^9 = 163
Level 20: 100 * 1.05^19 = 265
Level 50: 100 * 1.05^49 = 1,130
Level 100: 100 * 1.05^99 = 5,216
