Arrowhead didn't know how few countries where accepted as a PSN place, and there servers didn't handle the traffic it got on launch so they turned of the PSN linking and now almost 3 months later SONY noticed that HD2 have more players then they see new PSN profiles, so they made AH to enforce the PSN linking again as they did know about more then 6 months before launch. And the HD2 community didn't like to have a game they bought taken away from them = the negative review bombing started.

So now over 126 countries (if there is 195 countries in the world, and only 69 of them are accepted as a PSN country) that can't even buy the game from Steam, or be able to play a game they have bought before this

I've seen no small number of countries fall to censorship nonsense, and while there's several that do go scorched earth and try to ban everything that doesn't align with their "truth" (China and Russia are the big ones here), there's also plenty of examples of countries that have had this sort of thing implemented for a long time but that were satisfied with just blocking a few select services.
