Besides, I've got only like couple of minutes each break (we have 3 in total), so it's not optimal to watch anything in this short time span, and I'm not allowed to bring my phone to the workstation. Well, not exactly, but I choose not to, since I would have to bring it through metal detector in search lanes, which at the end of shift are quite clogged, nope. Correct. If you really want to hear an answer, maybe ask again (provided you have the bits for TTS). Thor sometimes reads regular chat as well, but that's more of a chance. One fair tip for you, if you see that the queue is at triple digits, and it's well past 5h mark, maybe don't bother unless you want to donate your bits to charity. If your question is important, maybe open Thor ticket.

I've calculated how much bits cost, and it turns out with more bits you buy, the cheaper it is. 😄 It's actually about the same, the difference is so small it's unnoticeable
- 100 bits is 1.74€, for a single bit it's 0.0174€ - which is about 0.02€
- 500 bits is 8.69€, for a single bit it's 0.01738€ - slightly cheaper, but again about 0.02€
- 1500 bits is 24.81€, for a single bit it's 0.01654€ - rounds up to 0.02€ again
- 5000 bits is 80.00€, for a single bit it's 0.016€ - again rounds up to 0.02€
- 10000 bits is 156.69€, for a single bit it's 0.015669€ - you get the idea
- 25000 bits is 382.02€, for a single bit it's 0.0152808€ - rounds up again.
So each bit is about 0.02€. Now you may ask yourself - what about 300 bits? Welp, I don't see 300 bits in the menu anymore. There was a discount, but I guess it ended? I can't get it. So with this information it actually depends on how much you're willing to spend for bits in a single purchase. 5000 bits is a bit expensive for me, there's no way I can justify this much money being spent on Twitch ever. So the maximum I can get is like 1500 bits, which is a bit expensive, but I might be able to somehow talk around it. 500 bits is however the sweet spot. It allows me to use TTS, and it's cheap enough to be considered adequately spent money. Yeah 😄

Twitch uses bits, and you send 500+ bits to send a TTS message (of course don't forget to append the message). YouTube uses Superchat, you're sending money directly.

My Twitch account is gonna be permanently watching FerretSoftware channel on it, to generate the ad revenue. I'll occasionally log in to the RDP server from my main machine and check it out, to make sure it didn't log me out, and to occassionally write something in the chat. The only downside is it won't be accessible from outside of my home network. But Rpi is small enough for me to carry it with me when I need to.
But maybe not. Maybe I'll make a completely new Twitch channel for this.

I have one Rpi, but I've got Ubuntu Server on it, so it's only command line. I want to use that one for things like shared movies library over our network, and also for Tor Hidden Services (cuz that's fun). I've tested the hidden services a bit, it's actually really interesting piece of software. But for running something that watches Twitch all day long on a specific channel, I don't think a command line only OS can do it.
That's why I said I'd get my hands on a second Rpi that would run Twitch.
There would be a desktop Linux (and probably I'll avoid using Ubuntu for it, more like KDE Linux, or Linux Mint, or something).

I'd actually transfer them into newer floppy disks actually. It helps to preserve the authenticity. That I can show them to my kids one day and tell them - this is what we've had our games on. And show them an old PC with like the bulk CRT monitor and tell them - this is what we've played our games on.

OO development is great, but as always, you still need to have discipline somewhere. The most common problem I have seen in my 20 years of professional coding is that people lose track of what object is responsible for what. Hence there's a wild growth of different attributes that either don't control everything or control more than they should.

If the queue is too large and your message isn't read by the end of the stream it will become Debt on the Debt-Tracker channel in Discord. Thor pays his debts to charity when that value hits 5,000$ or more.

I'm thinking of purchasing 500 bits into buffer, and when I think of something to ask, I'll try to write the question down, do a quick search if it wasn't answered before, and if I don't find anything, at the beginning of the next stream just send the 500 bits along with the question. Probably the best thing would be to simply start a hype train, or join one with it.

I like the sharp lines, wavy forms and the way everything looks in their "event" menus, and how "snappy" it feels to me. The closest I got in my google search was "Chinese watercolor art" or some "art noveau" variation [3].

Well, bitrate depends on three things (frame size, frame rate, amount of motion) so that's something you should measure
Also, doesn't matter if you're streaming at 10Mbps if people have you on a tiny screen at 480p 😄
