I worked for Black Rifle Coffee Company doing inventory stuff and I can’t tell you how many meetings I had to be in during the day because it was just expected. Got a lot of cool exposure because the company is still so small (direct communication with the COO, Sr VPs, etc.) but it didn’t make up for having to spend hours in meetings that didn’t really concern me rather than doing my job which was very involved since processes and automation was pretty limited.

If you're stuck on the story it generally can be good to tell someone else your story and have them ask questions. This makes you think about all the connections that are or are not yet in your story and you might start connecting things you might not have imagined.

@finite dune Ok, you know which landmarks you wanna hit. I imagine you know which characters will be feeling what during those scenes. Figure out what necessarily must happen to reach that moment in time. One method I like to use if break it down scene by scene, with each character leaving each scene in a different emotional state. If you don't have downtime written for between the high points, figure out which characters need to interact for the story to make sense, and write a bunch of possible interactions between them. These are mostly just exercises to get your brain to bridge those gaps. Hope this helps.

Feedback is the important thing here, find someone or somewhere where you can rant and just talk about the story and get feedback. Even just basics facts are helpful, it will give you feedback, you will see new things yourself, and figure out how to structure your story better. Even if you only get a rubber duck, talk at it, it will help and there will be no judgement.

When Thor talks about the shorts hack, I kinda think he phrases something wrong which is that he says that unticking the notify subs thing will make sure that YT only notifies people who aren't subbed, but I expect (though this is just a guess) that he means that it doesn't care whether people are subbed or not when it decides who to show it to. I don't imagine it avoids telling existing subs and I think he probably just means that it doesn't descriminate between subs and non-subs, though I could be wrong

I started by assuming the "Fallen" text is actually a place holder for numbers 1-56. So by using 2 for A (second letter in Fallen and so on) I got "A of litt if uoeteuyu". Then I thought maybe it's the first letter of every word. That led me to "PB Yo Mc tag ad cyft"

I believe that one is convert decimal to binary, convert the binary to gray, convert gray to decimal as if it was binary

then index each paragraph with the numbers

then pick whatever combo of words makes most sense. So in all likelyhood, it's wrong.

I had seen someone mention using gray and converting back to binary, but it just gave me the same numbers. So I messed around and tried converting back to decimal from gray, and it spit out the part about barrier has invisible rules, and I figured it had to be close. I may have messed something up in how I converted it. I did this all in one big sloppy python script.
