Some spreading misinformation or hate (seeking out certain keywords in tweets and replying to them with bs), some that exist just to inflate follower counts of famous people, some that provide actual useful services (like posting specific types of content on a scheduled basis) etc
But making people pay isn't really a solution, it's rather an admission of failure
Also polls are a basic feature of the website and since no sane person will pay for this stuff that essentially means the feature is gone now

But ultimately, understand that there are so, so many events that will, or will not happen to you in your lifetime that will have a massive impact on a huge variety of certain parts of your life.

Thats the whole point of this. People who experience success want to act like its ONLY their actions that caused that success to happen, that there was NO INFLUENCE from events that were outside of their control, be it positive or negative. That's not true, BUT people who decry that they've failed in life only because of luck are equally wrong.
But things do happen outside your control for better or worse. Some people have increased success from these events that cannot be controlled. Other people have decreased success from these events that cannot be controlled.
That's it, that's the whole thing. Whether you believe your success is entirely your own, or if you believe your failure is entirely luck, you are wrong.

Suddenly a Hype Train in Bahroo's channel (top 100 on twitch) was giving this coveted Golden Kappa instead of the normal Hype Train emotes.
The internet lit on fire, 7,000+ subs, 250,000+ bits
It was insane.
And then 20 hours later Twitch announced that the Golden Kappa emotes are temporary for only 24 hours.

This got me thinking. I'm not a security professional, but I can see some merit to this approach to assigned access. Some might say "just use one lock and give the six people a copy of the key", but at least this way, you know who got their key stolen. Thoughts?

And you can lock out individual users by just changing "their" lock (deleting their account)

They seem to have a very flawed implementation of it... it requires a phone number, and even when you have an authenticator app set up there's no way to disable 2FA by text.
Furthermore, when you have a phone linked to your account, they allow to reset your password using just that phone number...
In other words your phone number is a single point of failure in this scenario. It's not even 2FA anymore it's literally just, you need this one thing to get in...
This somehow feels even worse than just a username + (good, unique) password...

I think I figure it. It might be the interactive boxes under the stream, like the bit ranking, the stream avatars and the emote showcase. because that is not on other streams, and I can kind of trigger the cpu usage increase on FerretSoftware by scrolling down to them, but it is not as noticeable as if PirateSoftware.
I have confirmed this further. If I pop out the widgets the CPU usage stays higher even switching to other streams. Individually controlling the visibility of the widgets reduces/increases the CPU load depending on the combinations, with the bits and subs leaderboard being the highest impact. This might also explain the differences to the FerretSoftware channel, as the amount of data that populates the leaderboard might be significantly lower.

PlayStation emulators generally have always required the user to somehow obtain the original firmware (or "BIOS" as it's often called).
For PS1 and PS2 you had to dump it from your own console.
For PS3, weirdly enough, Sony actually just put it up as a download on their website, which is pretty cool and makes things easier for users.
Though the users still have to go and manually download the firmware, emulator devs don't redistribute it.
PS4/5 emulation is too early to really speak of how that would work eventually but chances are it would be similar.
Sony's case basically was against people playing games on other hardware, which, yeah, they lost that (twice, even).

First off, a gigabit uplink is ridiculously slow for a company, and 10G isn't that perfect either.
Assuming your users are watching at 720p (which, no, they aren't, but let's just look at the bare minimum), with a gigabit uplink you'd be able to serve a mere 200 users at once (assuming a bitrate of 5Mbps).
At 1080p? Just a bit over a hundred.
10 times that isn't... much better.
For a regular user? Yeah that's a ton of speed

Bandwidth isn't measured just by volume of data you're allowed to transfer but also by speed. Speed puts a hard cap on the amount too so companies can get away with claiming "unlimited" when there actually is a limit.
For instance, with a 1gbps connection your hard cap would be 324 terabytes per month, assuming perfect network conditions.
Which again. Sounds like a lot for one person. Absolutely nothing for a company this size.

About ATX3.0's 12VHPWR Conenctor ... you can deep dive more but essentially it means just don't bend the cable and make sure it's properly seated (which sounds simple but the design is so bad it's not), but as as nVidia includes an adapter an actual 12VHPWR cable capable PSU (i.e. ATX3.0) is just a money grab, as it's not really needed, the 4 pins extra are a communication channel that is essentially a simple 3 bit value telling the GFX card "you can pull max power", the adapters are already taking care of that. There are PCB based hard, corner/bend - because the 4090 is BIIIIG, so big it won't fit most cases properly - adapters from 3 party.
But I recommend to look at all the videos to make up your mind.

Streams have no ads (AFAIK) while being live, Streams are usually buried by the algorithm, furthermore channels using streams are buried by the algorithm - as I eluded to, content longer than 30 minutes is poison to your channel on YT -; but what I see them working on is: No more adblocking on a whole on the platform, going so far as to go after alternative players (I e.g. use Newpipe exclusively on my phone) and now partners are somewhat shafted

But for me TTV is a easy to use, kind of "it does one thing and it does it well" solution, that YT is far from and beyond intial features the only major chances seen to the whole is the above given "we change how to pay people" stuff, which IMO is "priority (infinit)" get it working well first.
