You're playing pretty "honest" Footsies with him, so it's a lot of cMK confirms, and spaced specials to wear down the opponent, make them slip up

He's simple to branch. Confirm into DP for damage, Kick for Denjin charge, Hasho for standing reset pressure, Tatsu for oki

That's just an input issue. Remember to return to N quickly before doing the DP input, it's really easy to slide a lvl 1 super in there, trust me I do it all the time on accident

you do more drive damage playing neutral behind a departure than zoning vs someone decent

and then zoning as a wincondition? broke

that fox ft10 showed me the light lmao

At first I thought approaching behind mid range/far range departure was kinda dumb because you're not gonna get much of it

But just walking forward builds you so much drive gauge and space

You can just spam OD departures and build them back by walking if ur responsible enough. Ur in control and winning the drive gauge war

And JP corner game is stupid, I'm getting there much more often now too

That puts you at higher risk though, right?

I mean you got departure up and you're in neutral. They're not gonna mix you before it goes off and it stays on block

So the biggest risk is getting hit in neutral but risk reward is still pretty skewed in your favour

And the moment you don't have departure to play neutral behind, you now have new space behind you to walk back to without getting cornered

I think zoning is kinda lower reward for no space gained

But this is only if they parry efficiently. If they can't, just zone and win easy

Admittedly this is only some mu's.

In SF6 you can't cancel the landing recovery frames after an empty jump, as you could in the past SF titles. You have to play out 1F of landing recovery (can still block) before you can do a move.
This means that meaty cmd grabs on landing are now unavoidable

Rock is frame 0 and has the most generous cancel window of the roster.

Scissors and Paper have the same startup, but Scissors can kara cancel into Paper.

Paper is committal, but wins against rock plus mental damage.

Not perfectly balanced, but pretty close. Everyone is viable.
