The way Geras fights has always been very interesting to me. Especially now in MK1, where everyone is using their powers more in their basic moveset.

Like that throw move he does. While he stands still, a temporal clone of himself grabs his opponent and tosses them aside, and then he, who manipulated time to move into position without us seeing him do it, clotheslines his enemy and puts them on the ground.

The fact that so much time control is happening at the same time is so cool to me

Also his back throw where he slams them into the ground and vanishes, but before he vanishes, he also slams into their body from above as his self that did the original slam vanishes. Therefore, he went back in time during that moment to double-team his opponent with and by himself

And that fatality where he reaches into either a parallel timeline or future-past, ripping his opponent’s head off and bashing his own opponent with it, then himself from another parallel timeline / future-past rips his opponent’s head off to bash his own

AND the fatal blow where he smashes his opponent’s skull against another version of his opponent being fought by another Geras at the same time in another timeline.

MK1 has made every character use their powers and weapons in their move sets across the board instead of mostly only using them with special moves.
So I hope this means that future MK movies are going to have people use their powers more often instead of just punching each other and only sometimes using powers and weapons

Quan Chi is opening portals in his normal strings. That's awesome.

I hope to see him do that if he shows up in another movie, and do it often. And that his opponent uses their own powers too.

Also that is another issue - Outworlders aren't mindless beasts. They aren't stupid "yeeeees master" minions without a brain or motivation of their own, they are literally people. Lizard people, big people, demon people, four armed people, six armed people, people with big teeth and bone knives sticking out of their arms.

They aren't just monsters. They are literally people of other realms.
