Swap tiles so that each tile's color has X orthogonally/diagonally adjacent tiles with the same color, where X is the number shown at that tile.

Had this module basically finished for many months, but abandoned the project because I wanted to have a "solving process" similar to that of Mineswapper or Mazeswapper, which makes the solution easier assuming the expert does some additional calculation.

Any ideas?

Hi Quinn
Perhaps some numbers could be encrypted? Or some squares could be grayed-out and their true colour is based on edgework/position of other colours/their position

#

I think it would be interesting if some squares changed colours depending on the perspective

I don't want to change anything about the general puzzle, much like the Speakingevil modules, which simply add additional information.

#

I much prefer to add something along the top and/or right

hmmmm

#

mayhaps some numbers could be "liars" and identified via numbers/symbols on the top and/or right side?

like i said, i don't want to change anything about the puzzle itself. i simply want to add something.

oh, oops

the only problem is you now must called it perspecticoloured chromaswapper Kappa

#

If you don't want to deal with perspectives and stuff (tp players would definitely approve), they could be changed to gray

Maybe row / column
numbers could be revealed by making certain colour patterns?

^ something with this general idea is what im thinking of

They are solos, and are possible without the calculation done by the expert, but would require more work by the defuser.

mmmmm
Methinks "unknown squares" idea works bit better, because instead of becoming just a bunch of brute-forcing on defuser's end as pure solo it instead becomes kind of like a sudoku:
"if it's blue than this can be done like that, but then 2 next to that 3 won't work, so it must be either red or yellow" type of deal, y'know?

#

Like obviously this mod is brute-forcable in general, but this one allows for more thinking

also perspective gimmick are fun imo

The module is meant to be soloable, but the solo part can be made easier if the expert does some calculation based on the extra information on the module.

#

The module can still be solvable without the information, but it makes the solo harder.

lusty quiver

That's what I'm suggesting? Certain squares have unknown colour, making solo difficult and require more thinking, and with expert's help it become a lot easier, but still a puzzle
If something's wrong with the idea, tell me

#

Again, no need to redo the puzzle-making, just give some squares ambiguity afterwards (making them gray or perspecticoloured). They'll still act like original colour

I'm thinking soloable in the way Mystic Square is soloable (after the knight is revealed)
