Honestly, this bot was the best at first. But once premium came out, everything went downhill. Im extremely upset this is how the developers decided to go with the bot. You pay-walled over 75% of your features, most of which we can code ourselves or get in a bot thats completely free. Cool, I get it; you need profit. But not even Dyno pay-walls this much. You have to buy premium just to add roles to the leveling, not to mention the leveling is horribe as it's extremely spammy and pings you a lot. The bot in general is spammy, and from what I've seen, people have used your 'custom commands' to raid others' servers. You really didnt think to put a limit on it or a cooldown. TLDR; This bot needs major re-work and reconsideration on how premium is handled.

I first used mee6 for the reaction roles but quickly fell in love with it for many features and the clean dashboard, I even bought a Lifetime premium, I do regret this choice though, Devs do not listen to feedback and most requested feature which has really turned me off and had me wish I could get my money back. A lot could be improved but so little is done. One thing I noticed was highly requested by their clients is the ability to give EXP with the leveling system for server events or give a exp boost to specific roles but their answers to that is always that They just don't want that because server owner could Abuse this feature? (How honestly I don't understand this statement) Another thing they could improve are adding an embed editor, I know this is heavily requested but again it seem to get brushed off quite a bit as well. I feel the lack of care and attention from the head devs is quite disappointing, not to mention the unending pay walls for free users.. Luckily I been premium since day one but then its also a huge regret and not worth the money in the end!

For the moderation tool to prevent repeated text, I came across some situations where repeated text was OK and should be allowed
One example is that we have a channel dedicated to discussing coding and programming, and a user posted this code:
They were asking on how to learn loops instead of using hardcoded stuff, but Mee6 saw this as "repeated text" and deleted the post, as it was set to do
My suggestion would be to add a toggle to allow/disallow repeated text in code brackets

The computing power needed to simply run such a bot is immense, and the resources in terms of server rentage is big, which we pay out of our own pocket.
Making the Role Rewards a premium feature is not as a cash grab, but as an attempt of simply keeping the bot online.
Role-rewards
For old servers that added MEE6 BEFORE 9/1/19 to their server role-rewards are free.
For new servers that only recently added MEE6 you will need premium.
We made this change because MEE6 takes a lot of time, maintenance and development, and this is not free.
Premium helps us to support MEE6 and to keep the MEE6 dream going, without it, there wouldnt be a MEE6, as you can't run bots like this for free, its not possible.
We try to keep as much as possible of MEE6 free but this is just not possible.

I have seen the note about giving XP away, but I feel that this is different as everyone would have access, unless the fear is people using it in the reverse.

Yeah, as has been mentioned here it just wouldn't be a fair system because the bot isn't going to be able to differentiate people in a voice chat and who's talking.
So without knowing the other bot at all, I would speculate with pretty solid assurance that their system just awards XP either for joining a voice chat for however long you're in it, or whenever there's sound which could be easily abused by connecting to VC and then playing music and leaving the room. I'm glad Mee6 hasn't implemented it and seemingly has no plans to.

I mean, technically you could set permissions to deny speech permissions and then have custom commands that use such a code that would give a role that enables speech.
Then you could rotate the code in the command as needed. Shouldn't be too hard but it's definitely a workaround and not a native function like what you described. 🤓

Reason: I have a promotion system that kicks in at level 1 such that new members (after verification) have to post an introduction before they can see the other channels. With the standard x1 XP multiplier and 100XP to level 1, they need to post 4-5 messages to get promoted. That only works if others ask them questions and they respond to those. With the x3 XP multiplier, it takes 1-2 posts to get to level 1 (and that's my current workaround) but the knock-on is that everyone is then on x3 XP multiplier. Implementing either of my suggestions would allow the standard x1 multiplier to remain.

I took a look at it, I feel a lot better about the "no" having read their reasoning, it does make a hella lotta sense cuz one could easily make a special role for people to gain more xp. My whole thought out purpose would be a channel level locked for higher level users, but that channel would gain them more xp to use. Then the higher ups can use their own chat, and it gives them an incentive to do so. I can easily see how it can be abused tho

Can currently set a reaction role with multiple choices but only allow one role to be active. The previous reaction stays counted, with Zira if you select option 2 for example it will remove a users react from option 1.

I'm confused, that already exists.
When you create a reaction role, you can set it to allow members to pick up multiple roles or not. If you enable that, they can check off as many reactions as they'd like. If you disable it, if they check one and then a second one then Mee6 will remove the first role and only give the second.

I would love to see a preview of the private welcome message users get send if they join. Would be very helpful to see if all links are working and typos arent there anymore. Actually I have to get a user who leaves and rejoins the server to see a "preview" if I have to change something at the welcome message. 😄

however mass DM is a great way to get banned from discord
for MEE6 (as a verified bot) the limit is higher, but with the custom bots we often see bots being blocked by discord because they send to many DM's (welcome message/level up)
so a mass DM's is a no go
