Over the last few years the bot has exploded in popularity, and is now in millions of servers.
The computing power needed to simply run such a bot is immense, and the resources in terms of server rentage is big, which we pay out of our own pocket.
Making the Role Rewards a premium feature is not as a cash grab, but as an attempt of simply keeping the bot online.

Role-rewards
For old servers that added MEE6 BEFORE 9/1/19 to their server role-rewards are free.
For new servers that only recently added MEE6 you will need premium.

We made this change because MEE6 takes a lot of time, maintenance and development, and this is not free.
Premium helps us to support MEE6 and to keep the MEE6 dream going, without it, there wouldnt be a MEE6, as you can't run bots like this for free, its not possible.

We try to keep as much as possible of MEE6 free but this is just not possible.

Reasons?
- We want to avoid bias in our system.
- It's easily abused by admins.
- Not worth the time to add.

Ok, so the answer to your suggestion is going to be RedTick because a) No one will spam pings on a daily basis and b) Theres message slowmode which slows message sending rate by users affected by it which stops spammers as well.

There should be new plugin called, math problems and the admin or whoever needs to set up questions and there should be options like,

Either first one answers get reward or a reward role and experience to level up.

Or have a option called ○Public question meaning everyone can answer it or get a reward role or experience on levels.

I think this is good to spice up ur server with a little bit of math.

Hi is it possible to add an option to choose your own level. Like you type in the number of the level you want but it could be only the person who invited the bot or for specific roles or (sorry for saying or more than once) or you can also just choose levels for others so maybe only for specific roles. sorry for typing this with out the capitalization besides that here's an example: say you want a level you type in a command like ! levelchange <your username or someone else's> <the number you want> <any remaining xp you want (optional)> then it changes your level or someones level. This will allow you to make a command that coppies anything you say, adding this onto a SEND action in custom commands will allow you to send it to another room.

To reset levels, you need to have the Administrator perm (which grants you the ability to access the servers dashboard). The leaderboard can be found by doing !levels or https://mee6.xyz/leaderboard/SERVERID where SERVERID is the server's ID

I suggest a way to add multiple possible welcome messages that are random, like how we have the option for a random response to a command. This would be great for music servers like the ones I manage, since we can have multiple lyrics/etc as the welcome. Actually, I can imagine it being good for a lot of communities ^^

@broken vortex not a matter of being difficult or not. Most suggestion are quite easy to implement. But there are 130, 150, 200 suggestions. And doing all of then at the same time is humanly impossible

Over the last few years the bot has exploded in popularity, and is now in millions of servers.
The computing power needed to simply run such a bot is immense, and the resources in terms of server rentage is big, which we pay out of our own pocket.
Making the Role Rewards a premium feature is not as a cash grab, but as an attempt of simply keeping the bot online.

Role-rewards
For old servers that added MEE6 BEFORE 9/1/19 to their server role-rewards are free.
For new servers that only recently added MEE6 you will need premium.

We made this change because MEE6 takes a lot of time, maintenance and development, and this is not free.
Premium helps us to support MEE6 and to keep the MEE6 dream going, without it, there wouldnt be a MEE6, as you can't run bots like this for free, its not possible.

We try to keep as much as possible of MEE6 free but this is just not possible.

Suggestion to Twitch Plugin:
Have a setting on what happens when a twitch streamer goes offline after Mee6 posts that they were online. Option can be called Cleanup Option
Examples:
- Do Nothing
- Change post to "{Streamer} was live", (Or the ability to make a custom "Now Offline" edit post)
- Delete the post that Mee6 originally put up about that streamer. (So the channel you post it to will only show currently live channels)

This thought expands on the features from NowLive Bot, but with customizable "now offline" posts. (NowLive is very unreliable and this would bring more attention to Mee6)

Edit: I just noticed the basic thought of this was posted in the Upvote Suggestions on 2/11, but I would also like to keep my idea here as an additional extension to the original request

any type of "rewards for inviting people" usually leads to invite spam and unsolicited advertisment wich is a violation of the Discordapp Terms of Service

To reset levels, you need to have the Administrator perm (which grants you the ability to access the servers dashboard). The leaderboard can be found by doing !levels or https://mee6.xyz/leaderboard/SERVERID where SERVERID is the server's ID

for having points have mee6 be able to add other points such as for voice chatting = 1 point and other chats and having a few exceptions of what mee6 to not add points. also, mee6 to be able to deduct points example person not following rules -1 point. have mee6 create events and participants to do commands for it. also, have a points shop example in game or discord they get a card or something.

Allow users to gain EXP for talking in voice chats. A lot of users don't participate in text chat yet contribute a lot in voice chats but get no credit for it in the eyes of the bot which isn't fair. Log the time that they join voice chat and the time they leave and assign a point value for each minute that passes between those two events.

Also, for the "Banned Channels" there should be an option where you can set it to "Allowed Channels" so if you want to only have bot commands in one channel, you dont have to ban every single other channel

I manage the server and people were spamming just to level up. A hard reset was necessary to ensure that people weren’t leaving bots on for ages just to level up.

I've been looking for a bot that can create highly configurable competitions for your server. In the Oldschool Runescape gaming community this has gotten pretty big but doesn't seem to have any bots structured to do it properly. i.e. A week long competition that users submit before/after Kill Count for a boss, or XP in a given skill, or number of Player Kills, etc.. These are then verified by admins and prizes are given out

Over the last few years the bot has exploded in popularity, and is now in millions of servers.
The computing power needed to simply run such a bot is immense, and the resources in terms of server rentage is big, which we pay out of our own pocket.
Making the Role Rewards a premium feature is not as a cash grab, but as an attempt of simply keeping the bot online.

Role-rewards
For old servers that added MEE6 BEFORE 9/1/19 to their server role-rewards are free.
For new servers that only recently added MEE6 you will need premium.

We made this change because MEE6 takes a lot of time, maintenance and development, and this is not free.
Premium helps us to support MEE6 and to keep the MEE6 dream going, without it, there wouldnt be a MEE6, as you can't run bots like this for free, its not possible.

We try to keep as much as possible of MEE6 free but this is just not possible.

"Blacklist role" in the settings, so someone can quickly stop people that are abusing MEE6 and whatnot without muting them. Maybe xp-mute them, too.

Hmm... Mee6 music has always been a pay feature. Plus you have to keep in mind that other bots do it for free but some dont have the features on the same bot like Mee6 does. Mee6 also requires money to run and keep online. Its impossible to run a bot as big as Mee6 for free.
