This suggestion may be considered as excessive and/or fall under the "no changes to the XP system," but may be worth asking anyway.
Similar to how there are No-XP Roles and No-XP Channels, could there perhaps be a No-XP Regex option? The source of this idea comes from wanting to prevent XP gain while users are playing with other bots in a particular channel. Our server has several small cliques in certain channels. Some users prefer some channels because it's easier to converse there and the channel's purpose lines up with their interests. However, some of these channels, due to the nature of them, we have excluded for XP gain. This idea was suggested by one of our members if this could be done. So after looking into it... well, here I am.
Although, after reading through this channel searching if this has been suggested before, I see it kinda has been as people have requested minimum-length messages for gaining XP. A No-XP Regex filter could also be used for this. On the flip side, I can see the argument for that regex matching would be tedious and just slow the whole thing down. And frankly, in most cases, filtering by Role and Channel should be enough.

First of all, great job guys. I'd love to be able to scan channels and search for inactive ones for x amount of time, and automatically delete them. Is it something feasible doing with a bot?
I run an art server with 900 + people and I want to create channels for the most memorable users, but it has to be in a way that it gets deleted if people don't use them.
Also, I'd like to know if re-organizing channels, like, alphabetical order, is something that a bot could do too.

This is a continuation of my suggestion for a No-XP regex filter I submitted yesterday. For this post I aim to provide some usage examples and some limitations to mitigate issues with using Regex. To re-iterate and further elaborate, my purpose of using Regex filtering for XP-Gain would be to include member conversation in bot channels where a fraction of our members prefer to socialize in. Further, to the benefit of others' requests in this channel, using Regex filtering may also be used to exclude short, meaningless posts from XP-farming. (Even in my server, we've had members who will sit in our general chat posting one-word messages every minute or so just to farm XP.) All in all, you could more precisely promote what types of content you want encouraged in a community and include other members' activities who would otherwise be not included due to No-XP Channel settings.
There are a few issues I want to address with Regex before providing examples and my thoughts on how it could be configured.
1 Speed. Regex is notorious for slowing down processes due to pattern matching.
A It may be desirable to restrict Regex filtering to your Shop/Premium services to significantly reduce the usage of it. Further, it would seem appropriate that the only guilds that should substantially benefit from using Regex filtering are the ones with thousands or tens of thousands of members. Guilds where there are so many members, conversations and cliques are divided amongst the channels for their convenience and readability.
B If when all is said and done, and you still like the idea, you could perhaps implement a much simpler form of message filtering where an Administrator could configure minimum message length and maybe message prefixes (to exclude interactions with other bots, as these actions tend to be done in spam). This could be much quicker than full-on Regex.
2 Complexity and testing. Regex is not intuitive for most people. Such feature may desire debugging and testing for Administrators.
A Allowing full-on Regex would allow users to create some potentially extremely complex patterns that would just worsen the above speed issue. Since there would be multiple ways to approach this, it may be desirable to allow up to a certain number of Regex Patterns to simplify the pattern complexity. This would also mitigate a need for a deeper understanding of Regex to write one complete pattern for any type of excluded message.
B As versatile as Regex is, it's not something everybody understands, even with a cheat sheet. That said, expect users to make mistakes when configuring the filter. If we're doing this from the Website's Dashboard, it would be nice to have a second text field underneath the Regex's box where Administrators could test if the Regex matches an example message.

I am using MEE6 to add roles via commands by the users themselve. Is it possible to create a list where the user types one command and gets the corresponding role, but all other roles from this list get removed from the user? Hello, I am one of the Headmasters of the House of Balance server, a decent-sized server, and we use MEE6 mainly for the role level functionality, a fairly big staple in the bot's functionality, which, kudos to you all, works excellently.
However, the recent change of making the dashboard admin-only is troubling, as our only administrator, the server owner, is busy with university, among their other projects. I understand the bot has more functionality than "Manage Server" warrants, and can cause some security issues, so I do understand the change.
I do offer up a solution to that, though, instead of just complaining about it:
Make MODULES, and sometimes even commands config, permission-based instead of the whole dashboard, I.E. Manage Roles for levels, kick and ban for their respective commands, things like that. It would be much less intrusive, and would ensure the functionality they have access to is what it should be.
Administrator, for most, is the absolute holy grail permission. Absolutely not given out lightly, for little things like level management.

You should have mee6 for the youtube thing have 2 options. one for youtube videos, and another for live streams. and then the other thing idk if it's intentional, but when a stream ends and it's unlisted it makes an announcement about that, with the unlisted link (youtube auto unlists streams after you finish if you set it to true.) so that'd be cool i think, and really useful for me, so I don't have to apologize for the tag everytime a stream ends 😛 ( <@&403768316105064458> ) also, happy to see the youtube thing fixed

I know it was said before by many, and you guys are probably already working on solutions, but I want to add it aswell.
I'm mod manager in one of the biggest Yu-Gi-Oh! DuelLinks discords and we used MEE6 for now especially for word filters and other helping commands, to make everyones life a bit easier.
Sadly some days ago you guys changed the dashboard to "only owner / administrator". Now, I don't know how you guys and others manage discord server. But I have every permission except the one that I would need for it (and likely never get). We would love to be able to use MEE6 even in the future, but if no one except the owner (a very busy content creator) can use the dashboard at all, we likely need to look for an alternative. Which would suck.

I have a very tiny complaint about how MEE6 works... Well, something the Dashboard doesn't have. I've recently switched to MEE6 moderating my server and I've made a channel called "bot-hangout", where I want the bot to reside, give out warnings and such, and commands only to work in that room... But, the problem is, for commands and such, there's only a "Banned Channels" option. So, I need to list every other channel I don't want that command to work in, and if I ever make a new channel... Shit, I need to do that all over again. What I was hoping for was an "Allowed Channels" option that would be the opposite and the bot would only allow said command in channels listed.

I checked in: #〉suggestions "level" and didn't see it from as far as I was patient. Have an option where some level rewards stay and others go away. For example, one reward that says Level 26-30 which will get taken away at Level 31-35, but a role given at level 30, say no-lifer, will stay no matter how far you go.
Another additive idea would be that, say at level 40 you get Denali-Addict, and it removes no-lifer, but Level 40-45 remains.

Mee6 can’t delete messages beyond 2 weeks because of Discord limitations. It should only allow a max of 1000 messages, but I’ve seen that limit being ignored for some reason

Some people in my server have been disabled recently due to a lot of members being false reported and they lose about 30 - 70 levels depending on who it is. You should add a command, such as !explicit, that will give the user who executed the command access to a channel in the server (maybe called #explicit-chat) so users can swear and be a little less family friendly. If you don't want to see that channel anymore, use a command (such as !clean) that will disallow access to this channel and you won't get notifications from the channel and you can't read it.
