Theres already slime that does that lol itd be two of same units. However I can agree its crap unit now, better solution would be a slower summon with higher health and the summoner has lower health.
No, totally different concept slime becomes weaker after it dies it doesnt evolved while the concept of this rework is making the mage become weaker but a strong unit after it becomes a crab, and if we are following your logic crab is just the same unit with gateguard so it still needs a rework
And the mage doesnt need to die it just needs to have enough mana or hits
My idea: drop the summon, make the warlock transform into a crab monster piece by piece, getting stronger with each transformation 
Make the crab warlock gain mana when friendly units die and otherwise regen much slower tthan normal idk
i mean concept of getting stronger with attacks to become differnt unit.
thats already a unit also.
thats a mercenary
what about exploding crabs. make them be all 3 damage types with an impact explosion 🙂

Slime doesn’t even spawn other slimes since the last update though js, they just gave it 50% more HP or something like that.
It still spawns normal slimes once its attack enough mana
It doesn’t even have mana anymore, that’s the slime siren only

Yeah, I think you're right, I just remember it used to spawn a little slime after dying before.
I miss good slimes 🙁
Nerf it more and remove it from peoples potential rolls when theyre above X elo 😄

Why is it so bad at high elo? What if you don't spam crabs but use only a few?
Nobody spams in high elo
But in high elo crabs suck because people send myth overall more and know how to counter
I understand, but do they ever use crabs sparsely? It make sense if in high elos people only send large attacks, so no time for any value generation
In high elo nobody really use them because they are overnerfed
Its fine imo to have 1 tower to avoid
what if the slime wizard summoned a crab like... once per 2/3rds of a second
obviously they'd be massively nerfed
could make it feel more consistent
maybe the front slime sorry crab could absorb any reinforcements from behind
maybe... 4 mana cost, recovers 1 mana per second
then whichever was built most forward would cast an ability that could only target crab slimes and had a rangdius of crab-claw-grabbing-range. then they'd cast them in order and whichever cast it first would absorb all the slimes that came from behind, giving it proportionally more hp and damage and such. Like feeding a fish to a cat.
meanwhile the slime mage is just spitting out crabs here and there trying to throw them at each low point in the formation
