Yeah, it can happen if you lose most of your first 10 games or so of the season as a new player because there is a multiplier for the first few games of a season. This means you could also end up in minus elo if you lose all games. The first rank (bronze) should be at 1000 elo and you're currently at ~700, so you're not far away from unlocking it!
