Pretty straight forward, though might be near impossible to actually implement & balance with the way the game works.

When starting out the game, Every wave is randomized.
You pick your roll normally and you instantly get a view of each wave (with the small windows frame) only that the order randomized and the creeps are scaled down/up.
This means that you can get wave 15 creeps with magic/arcane as wave 1, making openers more versatile/non-stagnant as they currently are.
The idea forces more tenured players to test out new things and keep experimenting with whacky ideas, while making fiesta openers more prone to mistakes which in turn heightens the skill ceiling.

Would love to hear some feedback ๐Ÿ™‚

damn interesting idea ๐Ÿ™‚ maybe it would be relatively easy to implement. All you need to do is consider how big the creature's ratio should be. number of minions x which wave, minions stats.

you can also rate my ideas, I came up with something similar, the so-called testing ground.the point is that custom games would now be able to implement their units and test them. They would only be allowed into ranked games once they passed the tests satisfactorily.

For the test, it can be assumed that each unit has 150 hp and 6 dmg for 12 units in 1 wave. I just don't know if we assume that there are tank units and killer units?

This doesnt really force adaptation but more that everyone needs to relearn how to play, every single game. Some units are even balanced around certain hp breakpoints vs specific waves (gun/nightmare wave 3). This is a ok idea for classic but not for ranked.
