i think i just did this 2 steps wrong
1:Port thing
2:i dont understand that step "To start your server, you'll need to supply at least the following command line arguments: /dedicatedcfg=dedicated_cfg.txt and /game_settings=MatchSettings/example.txt"

example.txt has matchsettings already defined

port forwarding or matchsettings?

lyric root
#

technically both ? I mean, it seems like I can just create a matchsetting file anyways but the port forwarding is hard to wrap my head around... tried following the linked tutorial (from the wiki setup totorial) but it seems you need to pay to modify your router's port forswarding through the recommended app

you shouldn't need to pay to port forward

#

search how to port forward on your router brand

Still on portforward.com ? They don't know my router brands, is there an other site I can search on or should I look directly for my brand ?

i'll remove that link from the wiki page since it's just an ad for their software

I think I managed to forward a port, on my router interface, it looks like this :

#

It's in the NAT/PAT section of my configuration panel, which I think is what you mention in the tutorial (sorry I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to how global/local networks are working)

I think NAT is correct? It's different for every router brand so I don't know exactly

My console currently looks like that, does that mean I'm done with port things and can focus on customizing the match settings ?

You need to add those maps files

#

Or use example.txt for now

Yep, I think now I need to look into how to write the matchsetting file and how to make custom scripts, thx forthe support !
