If you're seeing this error message while trying to create an account in TM Nations Forever or TM United Forever, then luckily there's a workaround for you.
You need to open up your Internet Properties panel, which you can find via the search bar in Windows or by typing it in the start menu (Internet Options in Windows 11).

Navigate to the Advanced tab and scroll down to the Security section.
Here you need to make sure the option Use TLS 1.0 is enabled. If it isn't, enable it - see the image below for reference.

After that, you should be able to create an account successfully.
Make sure to deactivate that option again after having registered your account, as to not compromise your security.

Hey everyone! I've had TMUF downloaded for a bit but only now after completing all the courses do I wanna go online, but it doesn't let me. It gave me the same error. I looked on this thread and saw that you had to turn on TLS 1.0 so I did that, and despite making a brand new account it gave me this error. I did have an online account at some point, but that was on a different computer with a username and password and attached email I do not remember and that computer is long broken. Is there any way I could receive help? Thanks

check your email and search for Trackmania, you should've received an email containing your login and password

okay well that didn't work, BUT, after searching my email I found my old ass Login and I'm gonna try that

Okay that somehow didn't work, I literally put in the EXACT username and EXACT password and it still claimed it was wrong

and I've tried dozens of emails that I made that I know for a fact i NEVER used for TrackMania and it still gave me the same error
