I've seen people that have a medal list on the side of their screen while they play. It shows the author time and also records set by top players. Is this a mod t hat I can download?

In Trackmania 2020 you need Club Access (or Standard Access) to be able to see the ranking on the left side.

By default the leaderboard is visible as soon as you beat the author time on a track. However, there is an option to show the leaderboard at all times: Settings > HUD/Interface > Always display records

Note: Club Access is also required to view replays/ghosts of leaderboard records. See ?watchreplay for more information.

How do I open the leaderboards widget?

On PC, click the stopwatch icon on the left of your screen to toggle the widget.

On consoles, select "View records" in the pause menu, and use the displayed key at the top to pin the widget so it doesn't close.
