#Sticky/Lagging Inputs

I play tm2020 on PC with KB, and I've been having lots of issues with sticky and lagging inputs. I have occasions where my input will hold for an additional 0.5-2 seconds after I already let go of the input, while also having occasions where my input will not register until 0.5-2 seconds later. This applies to keys for car movement in addition to chatting and menu keys. This always happens after I've been playing the game for about 30min-1hour, and it is quite literally making the game unplayable for me. This kind of input issue is exclusive to tm2020 and does not happen in any other game I play.

I've seen people say some keyboards have a limited amount of keys you can press at once, though this is not the issue with my keyboard. My game is still running at a smooth 100fps in most cases, and the game itself does not seem to be lagging at all. Neither my CPU nor Memory are reaching close to 100% in task manager either. I've only seen 1 post on this topic anywhere and I was not able to find an answer from it. Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue?

Don't use wireless inputs with Trackmania, especially if it's Bluetooth

Trackmania has several issues with wireless input devices

This is also noticeable with wireless controllers

It's due to how Trackmania polls for inputs, many wireless devices just don't like that

so is there just not much i can do without a wired kb? if so thats really sad

or you can get a proper wireless keyboard that won't have issues with polling, like ones from Logitech with their Lightspeed adapter

then getting a better keyboard is definitely the way to go, away from rubberdome towards mechanical ^-^

how much different did they make the polling compared to how it was in the older tm games?

it's just the issue with how CPU bound the game is

I mean, a mechanical keyboard in general is a great upgrade for any PC gamer

The thing with wireless keyboards in general is that I don't trust them. Cheap ones usually flake out on me or require charging after a few hours and it's the input device I use the most.

So having a proper wired one (even if it's a cheap one) might not be a bad idea.

responsiveness doesnt even feel that bad either. im sure having a proper one is still a bit better, its just not a necessary upgrade for me at the moment
