#My black coloured blocks are too dark.

anyway way to get lighter or is this as close as I can get
Hmm, Its a shame the game doesnt have ingame brightness settings
Ill try play with these settings
thanks Chris
it looks like you're on lower shader settings which could be the issue
cuz what you're missing is the ambience specularity
yeah you gotta go to Very High for the entire texture stack to be there
but very high shader is significantly more demanding
Its on high, will try very high now
Also i strongly recommend you use the "FXAA" instead of the TAA, the built in TAA hardly treats any edges there
but that's unrelated
hm no it's not better actually
Is it a plugin doing this?
you're already getting all the ambient shading on High shaders
yeah that'S fine
you good on performance and compatibility XD
might be just a monitor gamma setting situation
which can also be driver side in nvidia control panel
that would show up in screenshots as well
should be on the left there
something with desktop colours
verify with your phone maybe
if it looks the same on your screen as it does on your phone
just to make sure the monitor isn't displaying things too dark and you never noticed
clumsy moment
ok pc one :
nono don't post anything
you just need to look at the same screenshot
on PC and on phone
at the same time and compare
if they look the same
sorry, im working on like 3 hours sleep
all good
There is more colour on my phone
sure but that's expected
phones oversaturate shit always since years
but if the black details are the same
then that's fine
yeah they are the same
Kind of annoying I can't get the same brightness as the example image
I got the footage on the example from wirtual. Currently watching scrapie
His block is lighter too.
His shadows are soft and light that cross the black block
maybe the difference is them actually playing on lower settings

and you playing on higher better settings
yeah
nono i don't mean shadows
just shader
leave the rest as is
just try what shader Low looks like
this is my current for reference
yeah leave everything as is
just shaders quality to low, restart, see what it looks like
just driving back up
keep in mind that the game needs a restart for shader changes to apply
yeah I did

Bingo
I can see clearly now
Thanks @pure hamlet :)
Because you are super helpful, can I remove this somehow?
i personally would go back to Very High shaders tho for every other map
it's just really a big difference and worth going for with an RTX3080
majority of the performance issues aren't tied to graphics anyways
Dark blocks where I can't see what Im doing is a big no no. I don't always need to run a game with fancy graphics :), Id much prefer being able to see.
then i would run max settings and up the gamma instead
I did try this. But the gamma doesn't make it more visible
