Textures show the TM logo in black and white instead

Hello,

So I have this issue where I can't seem to be able to apply custom textures on my maps.
I'll try to put as much information as I can here, don't hesitate to ask for more.

• I have my game with Ubisoft.

• I have Gold membership.

• I tried downloading the map mod and putting it in the Downloaded folder.

• I also tried playing the maps online and downloading the textures then.

• I went ahead and applied textures following this method : https://trackmania.exchange/threads/201/tutorial-how-to-apply-a-texture-mod?page=-1
  It didn't work and gave me the same result in the editor : https://imgur.com/a/Bpvx09H

• I do not have the Skidmark addon installed, saw somewhere it might be it.

• I have my bitrate to High.

None worked, it always gives me those black and white TM logos.
What else could I do? I don't know anymore.

what are your pc specs?

also what mod did you try to apply?

I've a 3070, a 10700F, 32G or RAM

I tried apppying RPGEgypt's texture mod

Im not on my computer right now and thats the only one that comes to mind and also the only one I've tried every method

My friend has a low spec PC, and it worked right away, just by playing the map. He didnt have to download anything, it just downloaded automatically when he booted up the map from TMX

also there's a setting in the game about downloading texture mods

that might be disabled for you

Yeah I remember something about it that I had to switch

I would have to look it up again I guess but quick like that I remember having turned it off and on again, jusg in case

also, when you're at your PC again, check if the following folder exists: Documents\Trackmania\Skins\Stadium\ModWork

if so, delete the modwork folder

Ok, modwork was there, deleted it

yep, that's probably the issue then

you probably had some old skidmarks there

start the game, then the mod should show up

So basically I should just completely get rid of skidmark manager?

if you use skidmark manager, yes

I would recommend instead using "Modless Skids" these days

because it doesnt use the modwork method to apply skidmarks
