Can't disable chat?

I have enabled "Allow hiding in-game chat" in settings, but pressing C still toggles between small and large and doesn't hide the chat. What am I doing wrong?

it goes from
small chat -> big chat -> chat hidden
then either the next time u open chat or press the bind, it shows up again

even with the hiding enabled

are you playing on servers that use a custom chat widget? e.g. kacky servers?

or unlimited lol?

and they havent implemented hiding
