I downloaded Trackmania turbo demo but it turned out the install didnt include uplay despite literally being a forced utility in ubisoft games now i cant play tt

unsupported doesn't matter zai, don't bother responding if you don't intend on helping out
@wary whale not sure where you got the TM demo just on its own, but the easiest way to get TM running on linux is through steam (assuming the demo's available there) or install uplay through lutris and install TMT from there, both should be just a matter of click and play

Downloaded the demo from steam came on its own without uplay

that one definitely comes with uplay, it just launches the game through there transparently
on the first time playing it should come up with something where you can log in to your ubi account tho
if you don't see that I'm not sure what's wrong, I've launched TM2020 through steam successfully on linux mint, but my ubi/steam accounts were already linked
guess you could give uplay through lutris a shot

You could try checking out compatibility notes on protondb: https://www.protondb.com/app/375900
I have not played Turbo from steam itself, previously I had it installed from lutris and it worked fine (so long as you're using the proton runner)
