Finally after working with Petro I have bridges working, and used this to help iron out some exporting bugs from the editor.

This is my first map as just a test and isn't anything spectacular but it is on the workshop to play

It's a 1v1 featuring nice open land and a little hill for you to start on.

Visiability isn't set and I'll beautify the map in the coming weeks. This was mainly just a functional test

Updated some passability around the bridges and some ramps that made the map kinda unplayable

Added in some more props and changed the lighting for better readability of units

pleasantly surprised because the preview in discord for the thread made it look like yet another bridge map but adding some land connections at the extremes is a nice touch

I've just tried to allow each game to have options,

4 nodes on your home platform to turtle a bit more, or you can expand on the semi circles in the corners, hold the bridges and the centre pass

There's no Real optimal route either,

sounds good. do you happen to know if bridges over land work? like from 1 raised area to another?

They don't I'm afraid and I don't think they will.

They're designed to allow passability from land over water. If you didn't have water underneath the unit passing under would jump up to the bridge and back down again

Imagine it all as a flat map and you can't add another layer

They won´t work over land. At least you can´t move units under the bridge. That´s what I got as an answer from one of the Devs. It´s also not clear if this will be implemented in the future.

But maybe worth a try. I worse case you fill the terrain under the bridge with water

disappointing but understandable. i do hope they bother, you could do it in tib sun and might enable more map layouts if there can be at least 1 bridge above land with units being able to be either on the bridge or under the bridge

This is a nice map! Looking forward for more maps in this style, maybe with the ability for an 4v4
