This card sadly has coil wind, its very unnoticeable right now. I only heard is cause for benchmarking I have to have audio muted. But in the future if its gets bad enough I have to upgrade I'll be going AMD Radeon for sure!

Also after I sort through the 3 hours of total footage (i just didnt cut at all and kept it recording as i switched games and enjoyed them) I'll get yall some benchmarks

Minecraft is CPU demanding! the 10 Cores will be wonderful. The RTX 4050M will run great on this laptop

I've ran Sea of Thieves on a way weaker GPU

16GB is the minimum nowadays. Theres other cheaper "gaming" laptops that come with 8GB that I wouldn't recommend even for a basic internet device anymore

And the 512GB will be big enough! I have a 500GB and if I didn't do Youtube videos it'd be perfect for me!

And the 144hz will be amazing for your friend! Make sure if she does get a high hz panel on her laptop make sure she enables in in Windows 11 and turns off 60FPS in caps that games usually come with

My only recommendation is make sure to get the Radeon R9 M370X model

I have the one with just the i7-4770HQ + Intel Iris Pro 5200 1.5GB and it can be rough

And with the way macOS scaling works and the size I have it set to (looks like 1680x1050) it renders the screen at 3360x2100. Which is fine normally. But some things like Minecraft after a certain version it runs at that resolution. Luckily older ones run it at 1680x1050 (luckily Terraria does too) and then Minecraft 1.8.9 does too

Weirdly enough during Minecraft 1.21 where it runs at that 2100P graphics aren't the limitation on performance, it's the CPU. It was so bad without the Iris mod for optimizations

But screen looks amazing, touchpad feels great, speakers are good for 2015 laptop speakers (better than the old iphone XS i had), keyboard is my favorite I've experience, and ports are great (2x USB 3.0, HDMI, 2x Thunderbolt 2 MiniDP, Magsafe, and headset port)

10/10 laptop would recommend

Hey anyone know what to do to keep my fps from crashing to the 20 when playing marvel? During the main screen I’m at 150-200 in settings 200-300 I’ve done everything I can things of. It’s on a basically brand new omen I’ve updated my drivers installed the one they recommend for nvidia. My computer is all up to date on everything.
I only have the issue on marvel my boyfriend plays rainbow and I play infinity Nikki on it no issues. I’ve submitted a ticket but I enjoy the game but it’s making me hate it.

I play Fortnite, Minecraft, record in OBS with nvenc, edit 1080p 60 in premiere pro, and now I'm starting 2D Animation in a program from 2012.

all i really need this i5 to handle for now is being able to play a game at a decently 60FPS, run it at atleast 30FPS while I record via nvenc in obs, and handle my capture card for switch gameplay!

all of which i have faith in it being able to do!
