I'm absolutely terrible at tracking and I'm wondering if the problem is my technique or my sensitivity, which is too low. I'm using 0.12 at 1200 dpi, and sometimes I even go beyond the edge of my mousepad while tracking, even though my mousepad is XXL size—it's huge

This task is still too hard for you

#

If you just starting out i recommend playing centering task

vale parrot
#

But I'd like to know if my sensitivity is too low or not? Because even though I'm using my arm and wrist, I end up going beyond the mouse pad

Im pretty sure that playlist have it

molten ermine
#

Its a metric to measure how many centimeters you need to swipe to perform a 360

vale parrot
#

oh ok

#

I'd like to find a suitable sensitivity setting that allows me to do everything, because I use AimLab and I want to control my mouse and aim perfectly for Valorant

molten ermine
#

Aimlab was very limiting in a lot of thing from my experience, if you can afford to buy kovaaks i recommend doing so

vale parrot
#

I can't buy it right now

#

sadly

molten ermine
#

Aimlab is still ok for beginners and those who are not into aim trainer that much don't worry

silver cedar
#

each type of scenario benefits from different ranges of sensitivities, which train different parts of muscle groups

#

A rough estimate is static 50-80cm /360 dynamic clicking and switching 50-35 and tracking 35-20.

but then some tracking scenarios which is better on low sens so dont stick to this for the sake of it

vale parrot
#

Changing the sensitivity for each type of exercise won't cause any problems once I'm playing Valorant?

silver cedar
#

but dont touch the main game's sens much

vale parrot
#

Does it make a big difference in the game once acquired?

#

even though there was zero muscle memory

#

thx !

#

@silver cedar
They say to put Aimlab in Overwatch 2, I'd like to understand why

vale parrot
vale parrot
#

I managed to get the answer; they put Overwatch 2 on Aimlab to get the 103 FOV naturally

silver cedar
#

wdym by 'put overwatch 2 in aimlabs'?

#

you mean the game profiles?

vale parrot
#

game profil

silver cedar
#

ohh i see

#

yeah thats mainly for sensitivity and fov

#

but use the x/360cm format for sens, its universal and easier to use

vale parrot
#

I have a question: how do you use the cm values you gave me to determine the sensitivity that will give you the best performance on an exercise?

silver cedar
#

for that, scroll down and set sensitivity options to 'advanced'

silver cedar
#

most likely theyre gonna be using somethin similiar, so you can use a sens in that range

vale parrot
#

yeah i see

#

i have dl new crosshair

#

because I saw that there were reticles adapted for certain tasks

silver cedar
#

but its not as important imo

vale parrot
#

I also wanted to know what the best mouse grip is for aiming, considering I have the 403 Hero

silver cedar
# vale parrot How can I find that out?

after you finish the task and see the results page, you'll see the leaderboard, from there you can press the replay button and go to the 'compare settings' tab

silver cedar
#

how about the hand size

vale parrot
#

I have a hand bigger than my mouse

silver cedar
#

but well lets forget about that for now, it probably fits alright if theres no discomfort

silver cedar
vale parrot
#

I see, I'm trying my best to avoid putting any strain on my mouse when I aim because I had this problem

silver cedar
vale parrot
#

I'd say it's somewhere between a claw grip and a palm grip

#

I'm holding my mouse, but I'm slightly raising my palm and fingers

silver cedar
#

ouh alright

#

where are the contact points?

vale parrot
#

My palm on the back, my thumb on the left side of the mouse, two fingers on the left and right click buttons, the other two on the right side of the mouse

silver cedar
#

base of the palm contacting claw is quite popular and well recommended

vale parrot
#

ohhh i see

#

I have a question about tracking

#

If you aim for the body, do you earn fewer points than if you aim for the head, or is it the same?

silver cedar
vale parrot
#

yeah i see

#

I'm using the most optimal sensitivity for the exercise, but I'm having trouble with the tracking, especially at the point

silver cedar
vale parrot
#

It's not impossible, just difficult, I would say

#

it's this

silver cedar
#

then improving is the solution, give it some time :)

#

oh and remove the gun model and visual effects if you havent

vale parrot
#

yess

#

So, for each exercise, I use the most optimizing sensitivity setting for the person who finished first in that exercise?

silver cedar
#

sometimes it can be absurd sens

silver cedar
# vale parrot it's this

oh and another thing is to get 499 energy on the novice version before moving onto this if you havent

vale parrot
#

i have 499 on tracking yeah

tribal lark
vale parrot
silver cedar
tribal lark
#

Also don't just use what send the top aimer used because some people troll their sensitivity
Take a look at like the top 5-10

#

And avg there

vale parrot
#

Let's say I find a medium sensitivity setting for a tracking exercise; do I use the same setting for all tracking exercises, or do I change it for each individual tracking exercise?

tribal lark
#

Tracking is broad

#

Because you have precise, control, reactive etc. and even then scenarios within each that target different parts of your aim

vale parrot
#

oh i see

tribal lark
#

Changing it for every tracking exercise isn't fun and can be tedious for most but having a comfortable sens that you can land on per subcategory or task type

#

Is fine

silver cedar
vale parrot
#

for example on this

#

i use same sensitivies?

tribal lark
#

If you're just doing control tracking and you're not explicitly targeting ftip, arm or wrist, doing all the scenarios on one sens isn't the worst

silver cedar
tribal lark
#

You'll be fine

#

That's why this breaks it down by subcat

vale parrot
#

So for a subcategory we can use the same sensitivity, that's what I wanted to know

tribal lark
#

Yeah

vale parrot
#

Otherwise, it becomes even more complex if we change every exercise

silver cedar
vale parrot
#

I've noticed that in exercises like tracking, where you have to keep the mouse button pressed down constantly, I end up putting a bit of tension on it

vale parrot
#

in my hand

silver cedar
#

you could try redirecting the rension onto the side fingers, being thumb and the others

silver cedar
vale parrot
#

In fact, the tension that the index finger applies spreads throughout the entire hand

silver cedar
#

well some tension is needed, but if its too much then lightening it up would be ideal

vale parrot
#

i see

#

I hadn't thought of that, but does that mean I also need to change my DPI?

#

To copy the sensitivity settings, I also need to set the same DPI, right?

tribal lark
vale parrot
#

Oh, that ignores the DPI and the centimeters

tribal lark
#

It doesn

#

t

#

ignore the centimeters

#

cm = centimeters

vale parrot
#

I misspoke

#

I meant that centimeters ignore DPI

silver cedar
#

yeah just set the ingame dpi into what you're using now, and then use only the cm/360 bar to change the sens

vale parrot
#

it's practical

#

I just changed the sensitivity adapter to an average of the top 10 and I feel much more comfortable during the exercise

vale parrot
#

@tribal larkIs there a trick to actually having a voltage during switching?

vale parrot
#

Because I have to press the button very often to fire at the targets, I have tension

#

to my hand

tribal lark
#

I still don't really understand what you mean

#

But also try maybe asking in #advice

vale parrot
#

the need to press the fire button all the time

#

It creates a lot of tension in my wrist

tribal lark
#

I mean

#

You just have to learn to properly budget it

#

If you need help

#

Bind Fire to your keyboard

#

Get used to how minimal tension feels (since you're only using tension for your flicks etc.)

#

Then go back to M1 firing and try to recreate that feeling

vale parrot
#

So I'm using the keyboard, getting used to the feel, and then trying to reproduce it without the keyboard?

tribal lark
#

Yeah

Is it possible to analyze my gameplay? This is my record; linear clicking is my biggest weakness, and it's where I have the worst overall score

Thank you for the advice, I'm improving significantly @silver cedar@tribal lark

silver cedar
#

in fact, they cant even be called flicks

vale parrot
#

I actually trained on that today: speed and precision

silver cedar
#

this is a static guide, but it will help to build proper flick technique
