Static Vod Review(someone look at it please)
hey, let me start off by saying I'm not an exceptionnal aimer but here is what I noticed in the pattargetswitch video, your initial flick is often wayy off target so you lose a lot of time trying to adjust, when the bots switch directions you also over adjust too much. You flick sometimes, but you also just switch targets without flicking(switching fast but not with a flick, its less good technique).
In the static vod, flicks are often overflicked or not in a great angle(not a straight line to the bot)
which causes a lot of time loss on micro corrections, you often rush a little bit on your micro corrections, especially when your flick is close to the target, you have quite a lot of wasted movement, you micro adjust in 2,3,4 times regularly instead of just 1
this is what I personnaly noticed 🙂
I'd suggest working on flick accuracy and good technique, bardoz method for example, fast flick(preferably close to target in a linear line) or slight under flick so the micro correction is easier and try execute it in no more than 2 movements. 1 flick 1 micro correction, go slower and first, take your time and then speed up, for the dynamic try reading the bot movement a little more, flick to where the bot is moving(just a little ahead) so the micro correction is easier, have your next target in mind always. That's what I would work on
how might you suggest I work on these things?
I wrote it at the bottom, unless you mean scenarios?
I just dont understand how to work on making my flicks more accurate, because when I flick it just goes where it goes and I dont really know how to make where it ends up be closer to where I want it to be
without sacrificing speed
also scenarios to use to work on these things would be nice
look at your vods, see where your flicks end up, right now I would say you overflick most, to remedy it, try underflicking, if you end up flicking on the target or slightly under, that's already much better, an adjustment from slightly underflick is easier than the rest
i went into 1w3ts again and tried to underflick but i still just kept ending up overflicking
nevermind im underflicking now
your flicks are kind of slow and off target. i'd say just keep targeting the fundamentals, do the voltaic fundamental playlist and VDIM everyday. there's no fast tracking or some like secret sauce or anything really. just develop your technique (start with guys like bardoz), and stay consistent with your training. speed is precise, precise is smooth. saw some dude say that and i think that encapsulated it pretty well.
for things like this, it's really about keeping your pattern as straight as possible, speed will come with time. like i don't know how to say it, but you MUST practice targeting the most efficient path from point A to point B. however, we usually NEVER take that path, deviation either by lack of smoothness, losing target, or just general shakiness etc. imagine there is a line between every target, you want to follow that line as precise as possible. aimlabs has scenarios like that, kovaaks may aswell
also i'm not like an incredible aimer by any means so i may be a little off on things, but from my perspective that's what i see and what i would do
is there any other focused work I could be doing apart from those two playlists? im mad at valorant rn and need a break for a few days so im gonna grind like 20ish hours in the next few days
honestly brah- i would recommend against that, cause you'll just brainrot your scores and likely not be as effective in practice. but as for the scenarios and playlist, the VDIM has 7 different playlist, all for every single day of the week. so that's one you can just knock out for the day and feel good. after that, i would recommend finding playlist that coincide with the VDIM playlist you just ran. so say you just did VDIM - Tracking 1, then i would compliment that with some other tracking scenarios. if you find yourself getting bored or frustrated, play some humanoid type switching scenarios.
at the end of the day though, you want to make sure your practice is efficient. if you aren't practicing to improve your scores, you are wasting time.
as for other playlist to just add in, throw in a few val related aim train playlists as you mentioned you play that. and if you feel you have glaring weaknesses, try and target those after your VDIM as well
also do routines if you want, you seem to be someone starting out your aim training (same here), hovering around the beginner level. so there is nothing wrong with hitting like the AIMER7s kovaak routines or whatever else. basically anything will help you as of now, just develop a feel for your mouse, and most importantly for me was to standardize a grip. i used to just fucking like- grab the mouse and use it how i grabbed it. make sure you're not only staying consistent with your aim, but your setup and form aswell (this in itself will translate to aim consistency)
yeah definetly gonna do that, thanks for the recommendation
