#Need help finding mouse grip (new to kbm)

comfort>grip styles, Just hold the mouse in the way that feels most comfortable for you
But it feels hard to track
For ex: I use 400 dpi 2.4 which is 43/360cm when I tracks my wrist will start to shake or tremble
yeah but thats normal in the beginning u will shake. you just have to stick to it
Ok I thought something was wrong
Maybe just use index and middle finger for the mouse buttons
I did but I just changed my grip to 131 bc I play apex
Ah i dont think you should change your mouse grip if its not comfortable. If it is then all good but remember comfort first
To help clarify what kinds of grips we're using on gaming mice, I put some extra thought into how we could define them and made this list. It's a new idea, I don't know where it will take us, if anywhere, just trying something different. Hoping it helps people get better recommendations as we specify the important parts, without going too in dep...
I play palm that feels most natural to me I just don’t know if my sens is the issue
When I track or do dynamic clicking I have my wrist will shake after awhile
Too much tension prolly cause your sens is too fast and to control it you are tensing up ur arm
I feel the exact opposite of that my sense feels too slow but anything other than 2.4 is too fast @tepid parcel
I’m fine with 2.4 tbh I recently changed it to 800 1.2 thinking it’d feel the same bc the edpi is 960 but I was wrong it feels heavier. I can send a record later tn
Can you tell me what that is in cm/360
by 2.4 he means 43cm and by 1.2 he means 21cm
Goddang 21cm is crazy try something between like 30-50 cm/360
Oof so does me having the same edpi as 400 not mean anything?
I thought I could switch sens and dpi as long as my edpi remains the same both are 960 😭
ohh my bad i didnt realise you also doubled your dpi
All good. Do you mind if I DM you to do some personal questions regarding aim training and my sens? I liked 2.4 again; I was told to start with cm/360, but I really don't know where to start other than my original benchmark of 2.4, but I’m looking for something slow, but something I can flick. Also, I want it to be a prioritize my aim over my movement, which is why I started with 2.4. I thought switching my DPI would maybe make it faster, but yeah, it feels slower than 2.4 with the same eDPI of 960. I haven't really messed it with it, but I came to the short conclusion I need time to readjust. I'm having a bad sens crisis
sure idm
Idk if 131 is the way. I was always playing fingerzip and used scrollwheel eith middle finger for tapstrafe etc. While it felt good for movement i was so fucking inconsistenz. Some days i was popping of the next day i couldnt hit shit. Switched over to claw grip. Got myself a new mouse and just trained with claw even though it felt unnatural at first. Now a year later i am really consistent aim wise. Also my claw varies from game to game. Its more relaxed playing cod/rivals compared to apex. But it feels natural and good now and im really happy. I only switch back to fingerzip if i gridshot or some tasks but thats fine. So maybe you didnt find you perfect mouse yet or your oerfect sens. Maybe even your skates/mousepad or the way you sit. But everything comes with time and you just have to practice and you will naturally get a feeling and try out different things. Just keep going your journey has just started
Even if i switch to ftip for gaming now and force myself to play like it i am so much more consistent and better than before. Thats because my mouse control got better overall. So just keep grinding buddy you got this (not saying getting advice here wont speed up the process)
ion how to reaklly form a claw grip on my mouse
Is that a gpx ?
Superlight g pro 2
Should be easily clawable. Just try it out with to fingers on the right side. Push your palm a bit in front
Can I have a visual? Sorry im a visual learner
by "to" he meant "two" if there was confusion
something like this is considered claw
my hands are a little big so claw feels weird with my mouse
does the back of my mouse need to touch my palm?
for claw grip yes it does, if its not touching your palm its a fingertip grip
finger tip feels 2nd most natural to me
Fingertip probably feels natural cause of the high sens you used, also, providing a vod can help in identifying the issue you've described above.
oh ok im going to aim train in an hour but i basically changed my dpi to 1600 n keep it still at 960 epi which is uhhh 0.6 in apex
Everything feels fine. I would say my only issue that makes me feel uncomfortable at this point is how I hold my mouse. I don't have 100% grip because I've been changing it often since I started M&K, but I think I like fingertip. I just need to find how to tap strafe with it because it feels awkward but nice aiming wise. Then I just need to get comfortable playing on a keyboard, like with my binds.
And if I’m not finger tipping my mouse this is my default way of holding my mouse
Something I’ll put my ring finger on the side of my mouse so it’s touching my pad bc I heard somewhere it help? But otherwise it’s rested how it is on the first pic
N pretty much how I finger tip it though Idk how I feel about it now that I’m aim training
Nvm finger tip grip better for me ig?
Def have hands on the larger side. If you want to do different grip you would have to aggressively grip the mouse which means curling fingers or buy a larger mouse. Also, it's okay to fingertip, it's also common to change grips so don't overthink it. As for tension generally you want to tense enough to have control but not to the point that you are fatigued or in pain.
do you know any larger mouse that are good?
length wise I know that viper is longer, however, it's a flat mouse meaning almost no hump. On the ergo side there is the deathadder v3. I have not personally used either though so aside from that general info I know of none sadly.
Ok do you think my finger tip grip is good for rn?
definitely, usually the larger the mouse the less precision you have, if its comfortable to fingertip you should be fine, but if youre more comfortable with a different grip on a bigger mouse thats up to you, but from what ive heard, more comfort isnt always more optimal for aim
Yes it's fine as stated by the message before mine it's not "optimal". But people can still be very good using that grip, the only thing you should really avoid is doing something extreme such as spending a large sum on mice hoping for a huge difference or something.
Ok what’s the best way to learn my keybinds? For someone who’s never used a kbm
