your tracking is alright to me, but you see to just flick in the general direction of your target, pause to understand where you are, then micro-correct and finally track
In my mind, you should try to be deliberate as to where you're going to land your flick (you don't want to flick directly on the target, but where it's going to be by the time your flick is done) and also manage your tension because here tracing demands really smoth motions, with a tension free hand / arm, so preparing your arm to be in good conditions for the transition is a good idea :))
Tell me if there's anything I need to explain further, or if you have a point to bring up !!

Okay okay ima try to illustrate my point : try to squeeze your fingers into a fist like this ✊ squeeze as hard as you can : that’s tension, now if you stop and let your fingers go, tension also goes away. If you try again but pay close attention to the transition you’ll notice that this is not instantanous, your arm is still tense for a few hundred miliseconds after having released your fingers. The same goes for the flick : to start a flick, you must tense up to bring a sufficient amount of force to your mouse for it to initiate speed. But you also need to release tension before being on the target because you need your hand to be tense free to track. That means, you need to start releasing tension during the flick. Now this takes practice but it also applies to every type of flick. Basically, as you progress through the flick, the tension needs to go down
Let me know if you understood :))

# brisk hill hey to add to this, does that mean regarding my microadjustments id have to redu...

well honestly, i'd don't have a definitive answer to this (this is too good of a question for me to answer haha). Some people like to micro-adjust with tension, some without any, most with a mix of both. I personally find that low tension helps me micro-adjust much easier, but yeah, depends on the situation (tension required before and after the micro-correction), depends on the individual !! Try everything and see what you stick with :))
