What is the exact definition they use for these terms? I get pace it's the overall speed of the run (and thus the highest tension) but my guesses for the other two are that chaining is the skill that produces fluidity by means of managing tension in between targets while pathing produces accuracy by same means?
I'd appreciate much the help!

Chaining = killing multiple targets in quick succession that are typically close to one another
Pathing = which path along the map you take, for example there might be one orb to the right hand of your screen and 3 on the left, naturally you would flick to the left as you have more targets to chain, you want to always be "pathing" to where the most amount of targets are to consistently chain them
I see! how does one get better at chaining?
Practice cluster versions of scenarios, improve your pathing, better pathing = more chances for clusters to be farmed, and I'd say flick technique aswell as fluidity plays a big role in being able to snap up clusters
