when u say grinding benchmarks i assume you mean playing the benchmark tasks over and over again, if thats the case u need to do some of the playlists you can find in resources , and learn how to do the tasks correctly for optimal improvement. depending on your current skill level the improvement might not be showing because 1. if ur plat or above the improvement is naturally going to slow down, or 2. if ur lower rank in val ur in game mechanics might be bottlenecking your raw aim, which is what i suffered from for a long time. if its 2 then make sure to dm and really focus on proper movement/peeking/shooting mechanics

i talked to someone about this yesterday in #advice and got the problem fixed, the only thingi m trying to decide on rn is whether to do VDIM before playing or after
oh ok. id say after if u have time, VDIM is normally ~an hour so you will likely feel fatigued afterwards which will suck while ur playing. warmup val vdim IMO otherwise give urself like 15-20 min break before hopping into val, u wont be as warm but u will have time to recoop
i queue for 10+ hours thats why it doesnt matter from a time perspective but i thought "i can grind it for longer than 1 hour if its after, if its before i cant" ykwim
i get what you mean. if u have plenty of time afterwards then id say do it after as well. also check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bO2R4p7RR4 i think its a really good thought process on how to hold urself accountable in the playlists, however make the choice urself and also remember to take breaks if u need cuz he talks about possibly grinding the tasks for close to 2 hours which can be a lot at once for most people

i dont get tired after a 10h queue so i should be fine, i think ill just do ramp warm up in the beginning and the vdim after cause ill grind it for like 2-3 hours minimum anyways ykwim, it wont make a difference
thats completely fine just make sure to keep your health in mind, have fun grinding man
