Going to do my best to track progress here as I've been training consistently for some time but it's been difficult to spot my improvement sometimes as I spread myself quite thin across different scenarios/benchmarks.
About me:
-> 27 y/o
-> Main games: Valorant / xDefiant but interested in FPS and MMOs generally.
-> Started aim training consistently because I work full time (mostly from home) so grinding competitive ladders is a lot harder to find time for than 15-30 mins here and there of aim training.
Preferred Sens (1600 DPI):
Val: 0.14 > 0.12 > 0.175
xDef: 11 > 10
Aimtrainers:
- Static: 58cm > 68cm > 80cm
- Dynamic: 58cm > 40cm > 32cm
- Tracking: 58cm > 40cm > 32cm > 20cm (only smoothness practice)
- Switching: 58cm - 30cm (varies a lot by scenario but generally within this range. FoV range 103 - 115)
Peripherals:
Mouse: Pulsar x2v2 mini > Lamzu Thorn
Mousepad (in order of frequency): Artisan Hayate Otsu XXL soft > Infinitymice speed v2 mid > Skypad 3.0 > Fnatic Dash2 Max
Monitor: LG 27GP850-B / 165hz / 27" / 1440p / IPS
IEMs: Simgot EA500 LM (if you care for some reason)
Current ranks:
Valorant: Plat 2
Voltaic Aimlab S2: Diamond 615/700
Voltaic Aimlab S3: Diamond 633/700
Voltaic Valorant: Immo 805/800 int; 797/900 adv
Voltaic Kovaaks S4: Diamond 674/700
Shimmy static: Solar Complete: 581/600
Strengths:
Dynamic clicking generally (exceptions below)
Linear clicking
Static precision
Weaknesses:
Static speed
All forms of tracking - particularly vertical tracking is undertrained but already seeing improvement with S3 benches.
Dynamic clicking - Arc/popcorn/b180/popshot style scenarios
Long-term Goals:
Master VT AL S3
Galaxy Shimmy Static Benchmarks
Immo Complete and Radiant Val AL Benchmarks
Master Kovaaks Benchmarks (probably won't grind until S5)
Short-term training focus:
Jade static scores - focus on speed
Diamond then Jade tracking - lots of thin gauntlet and also some vertical focus scenarios
Schedule:
I play most days, most commonly in about 30 minute sessions. Could be half a VDIM playlist or simply grinding a task that I feel targets a certain weakness. Depending on the day I could do this 3-6 times throughout the day, really varies but currently playing minimum of 1h a day.
Lately I've been playing a lot of the new benchmarks but I plan to ease off on this and start focusing on my weaknesses again rather than grinding scores.
