I have been focusing solely on static clicking for a few days and I have basically plateaued. A screenshot of my benchmarks and the routine I use are attached here. I have mainly been using the bardpill method and using a custom playlist with only bardpill scenarios. A video of a 1w4t run of mine is also attached. Could I get some feedback on my technique. Also should I be focusing more on speed or precision since I am just getting started? I want to make sure I am doing it correctly in the beggining because it is easier to create good habits than to break bad habits.
Thanks in advanced.
#How to improve static clicking.

you need to speed up the flicks and actually practice good technique and tension managment
Try to move the mouse not so fast, smoother.
You throw it fast, and then it takes you a long time to bring the crosshair on circle
You should also feel the moment when your cursor is on the circle, you look at the ciecle for a long time before firing.
I also advise you not to strain your arm (speed will come with experience).
That makes sense. I will definitely try it out and slow down and do it smoother. I will also practice feeling it out and clicking faster. Tysm for your advice.
i will definitely practice technique and tension management. tysm
I am better with shorter flicks than larger flicks because I am used to a relatively high sensitivity (1440 eDPI Apex). Recently I switched it to 960 eDPI to try and build more mouse control with my arm. but in doing so I kind of strain my arm because I try to do it at the same speed. I will definitely try slowing it down to something I am more comfortable with.
im gonna give you different advice here. i think these guys are missing the mark a bit.
your target confirmation in the vod is EXTREMELY slow. im willing to bet you will jump a good amount if you just speed the confirmation up.
- you dont need to be centered on the bot, you just need to have your crosshair on it
- you dont need to wait for a full second of the cross hair being on the bot to click the bot.
training static is as follows:
your max speed you can handle is your skill ceiling
your accuracy is your current skill.
even if im 100% accurate, if i cannot confirm a target fast enough, i will never improve past a certain point.
so:
- speed up the target confirmation of these bots.
- push your speed till your accuracy is about 85-90%
- then focus on accuracy till your accuracy is back up to 94-97% AT THAT SPEED.
bardpill does mention taking your time but:
- that does not mean go super slow
- that does not mean you dont reset bad runs where you miss a bunch
- that does not mean you wont need to focus on raising speed at a certain point.
you should do some practice runs with 80-40cm sens if you are using something faster. I train some scenarios with this sens but then usually bench between 32-27 cm for static.
you should also do the hardmode version of the benchmark before benching. VDIM routines are the best for improving a specific scenario type imo. see #resources for VDIM doc.
Ah. That actually makes sense. When I started doing bard pill, I started playing in a way where I miss none. But that is not challenging lmao and missing the point. I must speed up my target acquisition. I heard in the past that i should only click on the center but there are a lot of bad advice out there. I will definitely practice my target confirmation. The routine I currently play is basically the bardpill versions of the VDIM Intermediate scenarios for the scenarios I could find a bardpill version for. My VOD is at a sensitivity of around 43 cm/360 which is what I'm trying to practice with.

will drop minis video here hope it helps
Another attempt to make some content on Youtube. Im not that good at making voice-overs but kinda wanted to share a little story with you guys and possibly help some players with their flick technique as well.

Tysm. I will watch it shortly and post updates on my journey. You guys are extremely helpful.
It would be sick if i was correct about my take on conf and you jump like a whole rank or something lol.
I just tried doing it and my scores have improved quite a bit in scenarios with larger targets
I also switched back to my old high sensitivity (28.86 cm/360) because i do not have a very ergonomic setup at the moment just having moved.
Good to hear cant wait to see the benches
Yeah. I need to focus on my accuracy a little more. I'm clicking sort of way too quickly and sort of predicting when to click instead of clicking as soon as my crosshair touches the target.
I probably should focus on my ergonomics a little more. My chair is too low for my desk rn and that is causing strain on my shoulders and wrists. Might as well try putting pillows on it.]
Maintain that speed
You dont learn or improve without making mistakes.
Focus on accuracy at the speed where you are whiffing.
Makes sense. I will be sure to do just that.
