#Sacred's Aim Training Journey
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I started my aim training on Tuesday and I have gone up to silver within a few days. I've already noticed great improvement in my aim and tracking.
Today was a rough day I managed to get a few new highscores but the rest I feel like i did worse than usual and its kinda of frustrating doing it over and over again just for it to not go up at all and my averages barely went up
also for some reason my pinky hurts every single time i aim train and i dont know if im over using it or putting too much pressure on it
I also noticed that whenever im on a roll with static and I dont miss as soon as I miss one I miss everything else
If anyone has any tips it would be much appreciated thanks!
Today I lowered my sensitivity. I realized that my sens was too high and was making me miss a lot of micro adjustments so I went from 15cm to 30cm it took sometime to adjust but I managed to get some highscores today and even move some scenarios to silver
i suggest trying to go to 45cm its not REQUIRED but its definitely not a bad idea (look at your guidance post)
I’m not sure if 45 will work for me, I don’t really have too much desk space so I feel like if I did 45 my arm would fall off my desk
smart, 15cm is too quick, 30 is still quick but useable. Nice work dude great gains
oh that’s unfortunate 45 is more of a suggestion but 30 works cuz of mousepad room i get it
Thank you I appreciate it!
Also any advice on how to properly reset my mouse positioning? I feel like when I am doing a tracking scenario my arm always goes to an uncomfortable position or it is nearly falling off the desk
I'm no expert but the way I usually do it is I wait for a moment of deceleration during tracking where I can quickly reset my mouse. You will also get used to resetting quicker as you aim train more. As you get more advanced, you can eventually mitigate the amount you need to reset - when doing the "centering" type scenarios it can actually point out this issue - for me, for example, my mouse slooowly migrates down my mousepad as the scenario goes down. I can mitigate this by counteracting the angle my shoulder is placing on the mouse by using my wrist. So I'm actually very slightly counter aiming my arm by using my wrist/fingers
Okay awesome thank you for that advice Ill keep all that in mind!
No problem ❤️ don't overthink it, in the beginning just developing your mouse control is most important and will give you very fast improvement. As time goes on though you can focus in more on the small details
Also I guess I didn't ask but it depends on how much desk space you have too, if you have a tiny mousepad it could be worth spending 30 bucks to get a bigger one
I have a decent sized mousepad but I just dont really have desk space
I think that's enough space, it's probably about what I have
I ended up moving stuff over to the left to make more room
well now it's DEFINITELY enough space 😂
Yep lmaooo
Hit some new highscores today my arms is hella tired
My psalmTS and skyTS are both lacking maybe ill try again later today
But atleast im finally getting new highscores
I also removed weights from my mouse (LogiTech G502 Hero) and honestly I like the lighter weight a lot more
your pasu is looking great
Yeah ive been doing the 60cm like you told me
and my arm got really tired out
so i took a break and went back to 45cm and it felt a lot better
so thank you very much for your help!
yes its difficult without the endurance lmaoo
ofc glad to see youre improving
yeah tryna memorize the lyrics rn lmaoo such a good song
I agree
careful not to burn yourself out, make sure to do some stretches and whatnot. Injuries can really set you back
Yeah don’t worry I make sure to stretch thank you
I hit a few more highscores today and got Pasu and bounce to gold
Im still tracking with all the switching senarios i feel like those are probably my weakest right now
cant seem to get psalm and skyts out of bronze
Ill probably take a break tmw wont really have time to train
nice both your dynamic is gold! ts especially sky is very speed dependent as well ass accuracy. sky is fast flicks and accuracy and psalm is that and smoothness. try to remember that idea when you play it again. send in a vod or two on it n we can see how we can help
Sounds good thank you
Mostly likely will send a VOD on Sunday gonna be busy this weekend
heard that brother have a great weekend
I havent really had time to aim train past few days
I got a couple highscores
Still stuck at psalm and skyts
i have an unpopular opinion on these matters that i think is valid:
opions is that your aim in game can be high if within a reasonable range. for reference i run 20cm in val and most of my benches in voltaic are currently done on 20-30cm sense.
now the caveats:
you should be training on both very high sense (10cm or something) and low sense (60-80cm) when you train so that you train arm and wrist control exaggerated
the purpose of aim training is mouse control and as long as youre training that you will improve. 20cm is like 600 edpi which some pros run in val and many run in other games. also true aimers can do pretty well for a large range of senses
Okay thank you for the advice!
20cm in val is criminal
it is for a lot of people but there are pros that run 800 or even over 1000 edpi in that game and 20cm is only 640 edpi or around that. its absolutely not mandatory to run 80cm sense like some people do.
it is also more justified if you tend to take closer range fights like i do in that game
i mean yeah like neon you can go like 45 but 20 is outrageous lol
even tenz doesnt play that high
ill likely switch to .3 sense eventually but i cant be bothered right now. i said i bench 20-30cm but its actually .2 or .3 sense @ 1600 edpi. i do much better in static with that sense but my play style in val isnt too reliant on precise small micro corrections and instead needs faster imprecise flicks for the most part because i play tight angles in/with smokes usually. realistically val isnt super aim heavy anyway, the game is mostly about crosshair placement and tactics. i already have a significantly higher gunfight win chance than 50/50 against people my current rank in a 1v1
@lyric bridge
no not saying it’s not possible js not recommended
hence it being insane
there’s a reason there’s a suggested sensitivity
also idk what rank you are but like i made it to plat off 30cm so i dont even reslly think its insane compared to that but rather that now i would rather anywhere from 60-90cm
almost pushed me to diamond when i played still and i think i was like barely plat on kvks
i’m not sure you understand the difference between a sens tho, there’s no best sens, there’s no bad sens. unless ur on like 5cm or 100cm but like it’s all more of your control of your mouse. any top player can play at 20cm or 90cm because they have the mouse control. matty does it.
well yeah thats why i think a "recommended sense" is mostly propaganda
you can be good with anything with practice
it wont really matter that much as long as you train a variety to focus on both arm/wrist control
so what im saying is (and the whole point of this convo) is that OP doesnt need to worry about playing some recommended sense, just training at a variety of them.
that’s what all aim training is, people suggest lower sens because it’s easier to learn control with it
I got a new highscore in 1w6ts today
tbh ive been feeling unmotivated so ive just been kinda isolating one scenario and then just grinding it out
how’ve you been feeling unmotivated ? you might’ve burned yourself out
Mostly because my scores are just not really moving and ive just been getting pretty frustrated with it
nah i get that i had that too. but when you can’t seem to get your scores moving there’s an error on your part. on your technique speed and accuracy. whenever you play and your scores aren’t improving you have to instead take the time to sit there and learn what you’re doing wrong and try to improve with that. your progress is already pretty good so you gotta realize that you can’t get a new pb every run. im sure if you took a day or two where you practiced your technique and stayed consistent everyday practicing you’ll improve
Do you do VDIM routines?
Yeah but I don't exactly know what technique I'm supposed to work on
and i do them here and there tbh i mostly do half of it as a warm up
well what do you think youre struggling with most currently
Well Ik since i havent been able to get a new highscore in skyts and psalm so probably speed but i dont exactly know how to improve speed
basically make skyts like a static scenario with js a bit more smoothness skyts is hard to push anyway so its okay. but to get more speed you literally flick your arm faster with more tension. so for about 75% of the flick you are tense and the rest is untensed where you slow down for a micro. the way you get more speed is play widewall scenarios where it forces you to flick harder and be more accurate. once you can go faster while being accurate (like 95% or higher) then you have gotten faster. but the best way to improve speed is to speed up your flick and even if you cant do it perfectly and you overflick a lot literally just think about underflicking as you flick. then youll be faster. for psalm im pretty sure thats the one that moves if im correct? if thats true focus more on smoothness on it than speed, speed is essential in any scenario especially for ts but the first thing you should work on is your landing to make sure its smooth on the landing and smooth til its killed then switch. try to target the ones that just switched directions to make it easier as well. and sometimes you wont get a hs and thats okay as long as you play and notice your problems. send in a vod and lemme see if i can help you, but make sure to see the patterns im pointing out for you so you can notice them yourself and work on them accordingly. you also dont have to play the benches to get hs you can also use them as practice as well. a thing you can also do is watch better players vods. like minigod or matty for whatever scenario and compare it to your vod and see what the difference is (not just the speed) theres a technique to everything and mouse control.
sorry for the yap
but heres one from me my diamond score its obviously not like minigod or matty but it is a bit more realistic where you're currently at
Make sure you approach each training with focus on technique specifically. If youre confused on what to focus on, watch the youtube videos for the basic techniques.
For beginners and each scenario, general tips are:
Clicking: start with a fast flick that lands as close to the target as possible, then follow with a slower microcorrection
Tracking: focus on looking AT the bot rather than at your crosshair.
Reactive tracking: same as tracking but dont react too strongly to smaller directional changes
Target switching: this is a mix of clicking + tracking (smooth for speed reactive for evasive)
Dont worry about scores for ANYTHING other than the actual benchmark. You should be training VDIMs which is basically a playlist of scenarios that builds you up to the benchmark.
Your scores are a proxy of you getting better, not the other way around.
Also, keep in mind that improvement will generally happen the day AFTER your training. This is a result of the neural pathways in your brain being strengthened overnight. Dont sweat it if your scores dont improve day of, theyll likely be better next day.
The VDIM doc has an entire playlist of videos about what techniques to follow for each training type as well, you can watch those for reference prior to training. Ill link you the kovaaks one in a second since that seems to be what youre focusing on
Yeah I understand, Ill definitely try to send in some vods soon thank you i really appreciate it!
Okay thank you ill definitely try to do the VDIM more often!
np just keep up with it and don’t let not getting hs effect you use it as a learning curve
see told you! you got this in the bag
js keep pushing you got ts brother
i suggest playing a reactive scenario
and tracking in general
will help your psalm
Thanks I appreciate it and I’ve been doing the VDIM to completion so I don’t over do it
Will do thanks!
good shit just keep trying
reactive and smooth
Alrighty I’ll work on those thank you!
I got a few more highscores today
just 25 more energy and im finally gold!
Also most of my scores have been pretty consistent so im happy about that
good stuff gold soon fs
Yessirrrr 😎
You should hit the speedts it should be easy to elevate
I took a 3 day break and did the smooth VDIM today and it felt a lot easier than before i also got a new highscore for every scenario including smooth bot and preciseorb
Just 13 more energy and i am finally gold
nice work dude
