hi. i have this issue where i really struggle with matching targetspeed for longer times. instead i start shaking around the target. (i think) this is only an issue on a scenario like this and i have it less on other tracking scenarios. i think my issue is that im unaware when im properly tracking the target/when im properly matching the speed/when my crosshair is on it. what do i do? am i doing anything else wrong?

If you dont know when your on target or not, focus your eyes mainly on the target

#

And let your reflex/muscle adjust your aim to go onto the tarrt

# wraith stratus hi. i have this issue where i really struggle with matching targetspeed for long...

This is a combination of smoothness issue with predicting.

Smoothness gets worked on with more smoothness training on a faster sens (20-30cm). Make sure you keep your grip relaxed and eyes on the bot. Don't focus on the crosshair as you stated yourself. Focusing on the bot/target is 99% of the time the better choice. There are rarely moments where you want/need to look at the crosshair. Also, a tense grip does not give more stability so make sure it is relaxed if you are tensing up..

One thing I occasionaly do notice though is that you are predicting. There were moments where you were flicking to the otherside of the bot expecting the bot to move that way direction. Follow the bot's movement as if it's going into that direction endlessly. Expecting it to move at any moments will cause your brain to make continuous pre-anticipatory movements to "be ready" for a directional changes and that indecesiveness can translate over into smoothness issues.

Speedmatching is done by focusing 100% on the bot.

Dont focus 50% on the bot and 50% on where your crosshair is. Just put your full focus on reading the bot's movement (in your head) and the movement will come automatically.

actually the predicting i dont think is true. at the time of the vod i hadnt slept or ate and my wrist was really tense and flicked randomly sometimes haha.

as for the smoothness- that's exactly what im currently working on. but i think theres also an underlying issue with the way i aim. ive always used high sens. im used to it, and recently ive noticed my aiming really isnt 50/50 arm/wrist. but more like 10/90 arm/wrist. i bend my wrist so far inwards/outwards that it tenses up and vibrates because i cant bend it further. so im also trying to do some tasks with lower sens/actively thinking about arm usage.

currently i am noticing after practice im being smoother but my scores are lower because im not properly matching speeds. i kinda dont let myself correct to the left if i go too far to the right like i did in the vod, but rather slow down. which im not good at yet so for now my scores wlil be lower, but i think im improving and shouldnt be too focused on the scores

thank you for the advice though. your advice has helped me alot in the past 2 days haha.

Still something to keep in mind. Even if it wasn't an issue now, it still will be present.

You are compartementalizing things too much. It is never 50/50. You use how much arm or how much wrist depending on what happens in front of you. But yes, you want to learn how to initiate your arm sooner and not to overextend your wrist.

Just keep going and don't discouraged. Proper technique over all else 👍
