I am starting a thread right now as it would be easier to keep all the thoughts in one place as opposed to losing it in the overall discourse.
Of course
I'm just gonna copy paste the messages for reference to save you scrolling up
Amazing! I appreciate it.
screenshot even easier
But yeah, over exertion is my primary concern because there have been a couple times that I've put myself out for a few days by pulling tendons and muscles that have no right to be pulled
I've since started to stretch and warmup prior to playing, and whilst it does help curtail the issue largely, I would still like to know if there's any ways to help ensure I don't accidently overdo it
Ok so where is the area of injury?
From there I think we can then figure out how we can manage things better.
Yeah I know ADHD medication can oftentimes have you in this state of hyper focus where you lose any sense of time.
Now with regards to time management, what does your schedule typically look like overall?
Blackout curtains definitely don't help the time issue, so maybe they should take the L and put to the side for now
So I would actually say close the curtains in the evening to designate that its time to sleep. Your body understands certain triggers to help with routines. For example not saying you need to do this, but some people read in bed because it helps the body relax. Reading in and of itself in this situation is the trigger to tell the body it needs to start to go to sleep.
When you have blackout curtains closed all day, you are starving yourself of Vitamin D, but also altering your circadian rhythm.
As for the injury, I have sometimes experience pain in and around the scaphoid area with ulnar deviation and wrist extension, which, scaphoid pain very scary, and that's the times I will just completely rest until it eases
But more commonly I do get noticeable aches in my bicep, ranging from minor to moderate aches, and a lower but also annoying ache in my tricep at the same time
Sorry by the way if you end up responding and putting something in the thread, it is late where I am, so I will probably be sleeping. I can always respond in the morning just to keep the conversation going.
Got it!
Oh of course, not to worry
If you gotta sleep get some sleep king
I'm not overly in a rush for advice, I'm keeping on top of it mostly and have been for quite some time
Haha I appreciate it. While its 9:15p, I coach clients in person and therefore am up at 4am. So every second counts!
Love that, sometimes understanding the situation gives you better insight as to how to manage the situations.
I will pull up some resources and put them in here tomorrow.
As for my current daily schedule, the best way to frame it is euh
Just picture the most chaotic, unhealthy, least schedule schedule you can imagine
In regards to sleep, eating, going outside, you name it
It is, literally non-existent
Honestly I imagined it and it hurt my soul so I totally understand the situation you are in.
Awake for 30 hours and sleep for 12 some, "days"(?)
Other times, sleep for 16 hours, awake for 2, sleep again
It's just, fucked
Time is not something that my body comprehends
Yeah it doesn't sound too good. Let me gather some resources and reconvene tomorrow. Now I won't give you all the resources right away, just because I want to be able to make sure you are comfortable with accomplishing things and from there we can always build off of it.
Yeah you have to train it a little tbh which that is where sometimes it can be daunting.
And I know in my heart of hearts that just having alarms and imposing a schedule is mostly the solution but for some reason I just
Can't
Idk I can't bring myself to make the schedule, to follow it
Maybe it's just daunting and intimidating as you said
I appreciate it a lot
I know you're all very busy people with things that actually help pay the rent so I really appreciate your time and effort in helping random degenerates on the internet like me ðŸ˜
But with that, we can discuss more when you have free time, and for now have a great night's rest
Great nights rest? Great night's rest?
Is there an apostrophe?
Idk
Haha I am not a spelling nut so I won’t make judgments on grammar.
Bro those last 3 sentenced are just like me fr
I remember thinking like that a lot of times, guess its related to adhd cuz i have it too? Idk
