#Time Optimization

Hey I figured creating a thread would be simpler. So one thing I want you to focus your efforts on is not focusing on using technology on this as much. The reason behind it is that you are on tech enough. I mean of course create your list, but don't use it as a crutch.
One method I have used is a markerboard calendar, where I write notes on the side as to things that need to be done (including meals).
Breaking it down further, I typically write down meals, then from there, I create a grocery list. Now from there it is up to you if you want to go to the store, or use a service (obviously for the time component). I would again spend 1 day out of your week for lets say 2-3 hours just cooking things for the week, because if you are cooking daily, you are eating up the precious time during the week (lets say about 45 minutes a day or so).
Okay that sounds like a good idea, I'm on vacation now anyways so I will start next week with more motivation.
Can you recommend a marker board ? It needs to be noted that I can't hang stuff on my walls.
If I am not mistaken if its for a college dorm, 3M has an application where you can hang stuff on walls and pull the tab and no one would know it was hung up. Its an adhesive.

Of course, if there is anything else please always reach out!
Hey! My whiteboard arrived today, can you recommend me a layout or something or what exactly to put on it ?
Hey glad to hear back from you!
What does your whiteboard look like?
so its blank white and placed . glad to hear from you as well !
Ohh perfect! What have been your weaknesses with time? Just feeling like you don't have enough of it? Are you cooking meals (I know you mentioned you are in school).
I'm actually not in school so I work from 7am to 15pm (most of the time longer) and every second week from 10am to 6pm
Now comes the part I sometime cook but not every time because Im to exhausted from work sometimes I only need 1 meal @home because I eat at work
I have football training every Tuesday and Friday at 7pm to 9pm and a game on Sunday 1pm till 3pm or so, than in have Valorant practice with my team every other day from 6pm to 9pm + my daily aim routine that ads +1.30hrs
And then the other stuff a human does 😅 like grocery cleaning, meeting my parents and other stuff you know
That basically results in me not sleeping nearly 8hrs a day
Hope you can help me with this
Got it, thanks for the clarification!
So with cooking, I would take a day in the weekend, and spend maybe 2-3 hours (I know time is of the essence) to cook meals for when you are home. You can put them in meal prep containers and either keep a few in the fridge for easy cooking, or you can throw some in the freezer to keep around for emergency.
With I am not sure where in the world you are located in, but does your grocery store have some sort of service similar to an instacart? Where you can place an order of what groceries you want. Then from there they pick it and have it ready for when you arrive to the store? As wild as it sounds, it can save you a good 30-40 minutes a week right there, which that can then give you with cooking once a week.
What things do you have for automations at your place, for example, do you have a dishwasher? That right there is simple where you load everything in it and in less than two hours, it is ready to be unloaded.
For reference, between my wife and I, when I am not coaching, I am trying to create content or gaming so that way when she is done for the day, we can hang out. So I try to optimize my time with a few things. I bought a Shark Robot Vacuum (of course you do not need to buy this it is just something I want to give context) where we set it on a regular schedule and it vacuums the house at a certain time. It even has a cleaning tower so we really don't have to think too much about things. I will load the dishes right before bed, so in the morning it is ready to be unloaded. Sometimes I will even run the washing machine about an hour before bed, so when it is done, I can throw it in the dryer while I am asleep.
So for some of my tasks, I use my "sleep time" as my optmizing for tasks to be done (besides the vacuum where that goes on during the day).
That way when it comes to cleaning the house, its not as arduous of a task.
Thanks for all the Tips! I will try using this " insta card" thing, I think one store in my region has it (I live in Germany) I already have a vacuum robot (it's shit tho) and my dishwasher is really small because I can't fit a big one in my kitchen. So I will try meal prep on Sundays I think and freeze some stuff so I only need to cook once a week.
I will use the whiteboard for appointments, grocery, and idk something else.
Thank you as always! Btw what content do you create or where can I see it ?
Thanks for the response! Yeah I "post" (I only say that cuz it isn't all that regular right now) on YouTube
Yeah I would say with the whiteboard, use it as you just mentioned, maybe also adding meals. So what I like to do oftentimes is work backwards with groceries. All that means is that I will create a list of meals I want to make for the week. From there, I then fill in the blanks with what ingredients do I need to get from the grocery store. That way I become a "one track mind" in the store and try not to divert into getting candy or oreos (while I practice everything in moderation those are my weakness haha).
I hope this creates more clarity.
Yeah I get that, thanks for the advice as always
My pleasure, I appreciate the follow and I will start putting things up on YT soon. I have to go through editing which is always a “fun” process lol
Hey there, just wanted to check in to see how the time management process has been?
It worked pretty well so far I definitely have more "free time" the board really made me forget less things as well. I still don't really get good sleep but I'm working on that as well
RN I moved out for a few months so I don't need to cook for myself anyways
Got some more trouble now tho because I need to do some stretching workouts to better my injury that takes 30min per day as well
