i have recently picked up the voltaic aim training routine on aimlabs (been like a good week or two) and i’ve been feeling like my aim has gotten worse. (i’m ascendant, i used to match or team mvp every game against immortals and now i’m almost always bottom of the leaderboard). also i don’t know if it’s common for any of you, but i’ve also been feeling like i’m not sitting comfortably/i can’t see my enemies properly and my setup feels weird although i haven’t changed anything (monitor and keyboard distance, mouse grip)

if u do full routine before comp, dont
do 20 min -> comp -> rest of routine

#

focus on the game fundamentals

#

movement, timings, comms, teamwork etc

do 10 mins and 2 dm's then

#

and see how u feel

#

doing full routine can get u fatigued for comp if u do it right after

okay! will do! thank you sm. do you think my ability to not focus/feeling like my setup is weird might be because of fatigue too?

Whenever I did aimtraining it just gave me unnecessary over confidence that I'm gonna hit every shot that I neglected my crosshair placement and movement

Aim Training when done right is relatively fatiguing, so if you do a full aim training routine and then hop onto Valorant right after, your aim will naturally be worse. It's also worth mentioning that Valorant is not an aim-heavy game, at least not normally. Your goal is always to make gunfights easier for yourself, by keeping your crosshair at head-level and focusing on the corners/walls where your enemies are most likely to peek/hold from. Aimlabs will certainly help in situations where you need to flick to or between multiple targets, but if your only goal is to improve your shots in Valorant specifically, you're better off training in deathmatch.

If you still want to train in Aimlabs, I'd recommend doing it on a day when you aren't playing Valorant, or at least after you've finished your Valorant session for the day. As far as your setup feeling weird, it could be that you're psyching yourself out. "I've been doing all this aim training and I'm just performing worse... Maybe it's because of (x) factor or (y)..." Etc. When we don't see results after doing something that we were sure was going to help, we subconsciously start blaming other things for the performance drop. Trust the process, be aware of what your strengths and weaknesses are, and make sure you still have fun. They are video games, after all, and if you put too much stock into them it will start to mess with your psyche, and you'll perform even worse.
