Hello!
I am facing the problem that everything feels awkward. My sitting position feels weird, uncomfortable and my aim is worse then ever. maybe I am interpreting too much in my sitting position and monitor height. Its not the first time I am facing that problem. Sadly I can not remember how I fixed it. I guess it came by time, but there has to be a solution for it.

After experimenting a little bit i guess it has to do with my chair height and my monitor height.

#

After watching countless of videos about posture I think I am still doing something wrong. It is hard for me to figure out my correct chair hight for my perfect arm height

Here is a good video on it: https://youtu.be/EqeDWH4kcME

I do want to suggest you though that part of this discomfort might be due you overthinking the issue. If you have genuine discomfort/issues then yeah, something is off, but some discomfort can always be manufactured in your mind.

Keep in mind that your aim can fluctuate from day to day. Countless factors can affect our focus/aim and comfort. Some days you will feel worse than others, especially after a bad night of sleep or similar.

Just make sure that your chair sits high enough that you can keep your shoulders relaxed, while your arm is perpendicular with (or slightly higher) than your mousepad.

Top bezel or the top 1/3rd of the monitor should be around eye level.

In this video, I'm going to go in depth on the physical mechanics of aiming, so that you can learn how to sit more properly reduce pains from gaming in your back, neck shoulder, elbow and wrist pain from gaming. This will help you reduce gaming pain, and become a better player. This will help you sit in a way that increases your skill ceiling. Y...

At least do not fall in the trap of continuously changing your chair height thinking it will affect your aim.

Yes, sitting too high or too low can slightly affect your aim but it will not be a massive detriment. Just make sure you are comfortable

Iam tall (195 cm) my feet are on the floor but my knees are to wide in the air what makes me not sitting straight with my lower body and I tend to move my feet under the chair. I guess I am suffering from APT because i have my lumbar pillow on the bottom set at the lowest. If i try to sit straight I get back pain but if I raise my pillow it feels uncomfortable and I feel that I am not close enough to my desk and my aim feels bad. My shoulders are rolled forward because my back is touching the back of the chair and I do not like to lean backwards and if I do my chair-back moves slightly back. Can you explain what you mean with hunch? I would try to send you an Photo but its hard to make one with me sitting in.

forward head posture . Instead of standing/sitting with a straight head, your head is moved forward. In many cases your upper back also rounds a bit

#

But in general you shouldnt sit/stand in one position the whole day. Humans are made to change posture constantly. It is when you are stuck in one position that problems arise

right side shows what i mean

Thats how I sit.

Its personal preference, but that looks painful to sit for longer periods

#

-Fix your chair /table problem (chair moving down over time). The height itself looks fine like that.
-Try to change your sitting position to be more like the video @eager plaza posted above.
-If you get back pain from that its probably because you try to force a posture your body isnt used to yet. (Tight muscle/Weak muscle/ mobility issues). Iam not a doctor but those could be the cause of your back pain. Maybe ask in #health with the picture and tell them about the problem. There are some great people in there

#

I never had back pain when sitting and my posture was bad. But as soon as i stood up. OH boy... that was an experience

Get your discomfort issues sorted out first and get good rest. The rest will come soon afterwards after you are fully able to set your mind at your game, and less at your discomfort/aim

#

Both having your focus pulled away due to pain and due to overthinking is causing you to play bad.
