Hello. I am OG Grandmaster, currently Master on VT Benchmarks. I've only aim trained for like 100 hours, my aim was decent before because I was high ranks in the games of choice. I started playing shooter games in 2019 and reached ranks such as faceit level 10 in CS:GO and Immortal 2 peak in Valorant very fast and then I started aim training.

The problem I have is that I see huge results in the aim ranks but when it comes to real world performance I suck because of the movement mechanics each game has, like counter strafing, strafe shooting, and things like the game teleporting you a few frames back when you get shot by the enemy and it RUINS my aim and makes me look like a total bot at aiming. The small introduction I wrote above is to mention that I'm pretty new to the genre and maybe I miss something from the fundamentals of FPS shooters.

i would say even if u had good aim, in high elo i think its common to change position once ur position is revealed
so i think u need to work on developing your brain in fps titles!
watch woohoojin's 2 movement guides (not basic info there)
the guy is very smart

#

watch his gamesense videos, vodreviews

#

wait u say u got lvl10, is it common there to keep holding even if revealed?

cyan dune
#

but that's not what I'm having problems with. I'm talking about real time 1v1 engagements where the game is not letting me properly fight because it teleports me around therefore ruining my aim

lavish hatch
#

your vs enemy ping?

#

low ping react to u faster

#

even if u moved more

#

he killed u already

#

same can be said for high ping in some situations

#

valorant netcode is different

#

than cs

#

maybe thats why u feel difference

cyan dune
#

same, 5-10 difference, but that's still not what i'm talking about... if you watch the video you can clearly see i am not able to properly 1v1 because the game teleports me when i try to shoot his head with a perfectly aimed shot

lavish hatch
#

wait what

#

what the heck is that

#

u sure its not your ssd or hdd?

cyan dune
#

100% sure it's not my hardware and I have gigabit internet, 0 packet loss, 0 ms jitter

lavish hatch
#

honestly i dont think ive seen stuff like this

#

is it since always?

#

or recently

cyan dune
#

and it happends in CS as well, game not letting me properly duel because it teleports me right before i shoot

lavish hatch
#

what

#

did u have same pc components?

#

cs and valo

cyan dune
#

I changed them in the course from 2019 to 2023 but this teleporting thing is happening since always (man, i have this 60 second chat cooldown and it's annoying XD)

lavish hatch
#

hmm... u say its not only in valo, and not big ping difference... + u changed components.. thats a tough one

which component u DIDNT change? if there is one

cyan dune
#

none, even switched from laptop to PC in the process

lavish hatch
#

o.o
idk
u can send ticket to riot or ask in reddit if someone knows

cyan dune
#

so you are saying this is not how these games(the ones that have counter strafing mechanics) are supposed to behave?

lavish hatch
#

i mean i had jitter/ freezing problems but those were fixed by diconnecting old hdd
also frequently having me killed when i moved on my screen already, but thats just my high ping

#

not teleport like yours

cyan dune
#

on my screen when I shoot enemies ( both CS and Valo ) the enemy sometimes doesn't even get slowed unless I hit 3-4 bullets in a row

but when enemies shoot me not only I get teleported back a few frames but also slowed to the point that it feels like i'm crouch walking.

Knowing that this "slowing" effect exists in both games I thought it's normal to get teleported back and just looks different (just like how xantaress peek works, you see enemies still running when you get killed with a counter strafe)

try:
resetting nvidia control panel settings to default
capping / uncapping fps
monitoring temps while in game and checking after it happened, at that time what was the temps/cpu usage/ anything u can see
i forgot the monitor program name wait
HW something

#

HWInfo64

#

open it before the game, play, and when it happens take screenshots or record what the program is showing

#

and then post it on hwinfo's forum

#

oh wait not hwinfo forum

#

what was that forum... cant remember

#

they were very knowledgeable about stutters and such

cyan dune
#

I used to have HUGE fps spikes ( but FPS graphs were perfectly stable ) and it was caused by Nvidia's Low Latency mode on Ultra, "ON" works fine but Ultra seems to create weird fps spikes that are not showing in the fps graphs

lavish hatch
#

did they drop to 0 specifically?

cyan dune
#

I was wondering if there are some Windows 11 optimisations for network latency or something like that, that I could try?

; yeah the games froze for a few miliseconds ( not audio though ) at random intervals but very frequent, like 10 stutters per minute, switching away from NLL Ultra fixed my issue completely

lavish hatch
#

oh, then its fine

#

try the above tho, so u will have info to share with people

I have Process Lasso and I used to monitor stuff a few months ago with HWmon and HWinfo64. My temps are fine( 70 CPU, max 75 GPU, measured in C ), and I had 100% system responsiveness 24/7. My CPU usage is usually pretty low and always lower than 90%. My PC is decent at best, Ryzen 5600X, 32 GB ram, RTX 2060 Super and nothing I can find wrong with it from HWInfo or Process Lasso. And I try to not bloat it with useless software, I don't even use proprietary software such as G Hub, I use onboard memory manager etc

#

so I thought it's a game mechanic to get teleported around when shot at, weird that movement mechanics is not talked about more in aim training communities

lavish hatch
#

honestly it could be how the game servers interact with ur device
since there's a slight lag when people shoot and ur device's reaction to it

#

not just ur device, i mean all users

#

but idk i didnt really notice it or i just forgot i noticed because im used to having bad experience cuz of high ping?

#

lol

cyan dune
#

there are some commands in older games that fixed this teleportation issue such as:
cl_packetdup 0 (packet duplication off, in quake engine games, fixed tons of desync issues)
cl_predict 0 (in csgo, it fixes teleportation, but now it's forced by the servers to 1...)

lavish hatch
#

check your settings in val

#

there's some setting for net behavior or something

#

if thats not it, then i guess its just how online games are sometimes

curse the cooldown, all my homies hate cooldown.

I remember seeing some windows network optimisations a while ago I wonder if they are worth, or even beneficial and not hurting stuff on modern computers/internet/verisons of windows

registry stuff to turn off some algorithms and shit

lavish hatch
#

ye its kinda gray area idk if in the past they worked or they work still today

#

have to check current info

cyan dune

I will try this:

tell me how it went, seems interesting 👍

I don't know... doesn't feel any different, also did this:
