Which mouse do you have? Depending on the mouse - sometimes mouse software allow you to change the debounce. I would increase the debounce and see if that helps.
If it doesnt help, I am afraid you need to buy a new mouse

Doing a quick youtube search, I see that they have a software and there is an option called "Double click speed" which I believe is Debounce. I would set it slower and see if that works.

okay thank you i think that just changes the windows setting for opening folders and interacting with a browser though

i believe debounce accounts for every single application, but if it doesnt work out, then getting a new mouse is your only option im afraid
