Most times people fumble cuz of tension management issue, if they restart they will relax the hand and go back to optimal pace, but you need to learn how to keep that optimal pace even when you start tensing more than you want. Being able to get back to your original pace after a fumble teaches you how to manage tension way faster than restarting
