Leading shots has its purpose, The biggest downfall is that it's based off of prediction or more so an assumption that the player is going to keep moving in that direction. I'm not the biggest fan BUT a very good implication of this is most of the time you decide how you lead a shot depending on the player's positioning. (Does this player need to come out of cover to shoot you? Maybe they want to go back into cover? What is their visibility like?) Basically every element that would force them to move in a pattern that's more predictable

But I don't personally teach people to lead shots, in most situations you normally do " clicking on flick landings" which is basically a fancy term for not using a micro correction for your initial flicks. But these are only good if you are cut off guard or you have to be the faster player, more controlled flicks where the micro is integrated is always better most of the time
